WWE Superstars Who Should Be in the Main Event/Championship Picture

New WWE Logo

Today in WWE, we see guys like John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, Big Show, Mark Henry, Rey Mysterio, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Rob Van Dam, The Undertaker and Jack Swagger in the Main Event/Championship picture. While all of these guys definitely belong there, I feel that there are a few other guys that belong there as well, but are not necessarily completely there at the moment. These names include guys like Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods, R-Truth, The Great Khali, Zack Ryder, Adam Rose, Sin Cara, William Regal, Hunico, David Otunga, Darren Young and Alex Riley. All of these men have made a significant impact in WWE and I feel that they are not getting the opportunities that they deserve to showcase them.…

The Rock-Triple H

The Rock vs Triple H

It is well documented that both Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Triple H have created huge legacies for themselves. Their rise to fame started in 1997 when The Rock joined the Nation of Domination and Triple H joined D-Generation X. In 1998, both men eventually became the leaders of their two respective factions and the two factions waged war against each other. DX were the heroes and The Nation were the villains. Eventually, The Nation ceased to exist and The Rock became a hero for awhile; until he joined forces with WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon’s villainous faction, The Corporation. In 1999, Triple H turned his back on DX and joined The Corporation himself. Not too long after that, The Corporation turned their backs on The Rock. Thus, The Rock became a hero once again. From that point on, I think it was clear that The Rock was going to be the beloved hero and Triple H was going to the despised villain in what would go on to become one of the most memorable rivalries of all-time. Throughout most of 2000, these two men spent their time feuding with one another. This is when both men’s legacies were cemented.…

WWE Goes “Beyond the Ring”

Beyond the Ring

As many people may know, the WWE Network is up and running. There are definitely some interesting original programs on there. One of those programs is called “Beyond the Ring”. This program shows behind-the-scenes documentaries from DVDs/Blue Ray discs courtesy of WWE Home Video. Below are the documentaries that the WWE Network has aired thus far.

Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart

This is the documentary that gives the inside scoop on the classic rivalry between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart both inside and outside of the ring. One interesting fact people will find out is the fact that the animosity between these two started quite some time before the infamous “Montreal Screw Job” took place. I am definitely glad that they ended up patching things up in the end.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

This is a documentary that tells the story about Stone Cold’s rise to fame. It goes back to his early days in WCCW and USWA to his average rise in WCW and ECW all the way to his rise to superstardom in WWE. There were definitely a lot of interesting things shown in this, but there is one thing that wasn’t shown that I wish …

The “WWE Countdown” Is On

WWE Countdown

WWE Network has officially launched and it includes all-new original programs. One of those programs is called Countdown. Countdown is a program where WWE counts down numerous top ten things in history. In the premiere episode, WWE counted down the top ten catchphrases in history. The list included famous catchphrases like Booker T’s “Can you dig it, Sucka?”, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s “If you Smell what The Rock…is cookin’”, Daniel Bryan’s “Yes! Yes! Yes!” and more. The #1 catchphrase was none other than Ric Flair’s “Woooooo!”. One catch phrase that was “Above and Beyond” the list was Vincent K. McMahon’s “You’re Fired!”. One of the best parts about the premiere episode of this program was that not only was Vickie Guerrero’s “Excuse Me!” not mentioned once, but Vickie was not shown on this episode at all; I guess there is a God. Based on this premiere episode, I truly believe there are more awesome things to come on Countdown.…

Jimmy Uso and Naomi Finally Tie the Knot

Jimmy Uso and Naomi

During the first season of WWE’s reality show “Total Divas”, it was revealed that current WWE Superstars Jimmy Uso (Jon Fatu) and Naomi (Trinity McCray) were engaged to be married. After months of them being engaged on Total Divas, the two have finally wed in Hawaii recently and it will air on the upcoming second season of Total Divas, which begins in March. Naomi is now an official member of the Anoa’i Family, one of the greatest wrestling families of all time, if not the greatest. Members of this family include married couple Rocky and Ata Maivia-Johnson, who gave birth to one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, as well as one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Rocky Johnson is a Canadian native who is of African heritage and Ata is a Samoan Native. Therefore, The Rock is one-part African-American, one-part Samoan-American, and one-part Canadian-American. The point I’m trying to make here is that Jimmy Uso and Naomi are the next Rocky and Ata Maivia-Johnson because Jimmy Uso is a Samoan-American and Naomi is an African-American. If these two were to ever have a child, then it would be possible that the world could be looking …

Things That Need to/Should Happen In WWE In 2014

wwe 2014

The new year of 2014 has officially begun and there are many things that I feel that need to, or at least should, happen in WWE in 2014.

Changes with the Championships

Both the Intercontinental and United States Championships should be unified because just about every other current major championship has been merged into one. WWE should also bring back the European Championship so that superstars can once again get the opportunity to join the list of WWE’s Grand Slam Champions (e.g., WWE World Heavyweight or World Heavyweight Championship, Intercontinental or United States Championship, World, WWE, or Unified Tag Team Championship, and European or Hardcore Championship). Lastly, the WWE Divas Championship needs to be put on the line at WrestleMania 30 this year because it has never been on the line at any WrestleMania in history.

Superstars Who Deserve to Become Champions

Sin Cara should become either the Intercontinental Champion or United States Champion because he has proven time and time again that he is worthy, he is way overdue. Also, Zack Ryder needs to be put back in the championship picture because he busted his ass to win his first and only United States Championship a few years ago …

WWE Raw 6-17-13: Daniel Bryan Finally Proves to the Entire World (or Rather Himself) That He Is Not the “Weak Link”

 Double Disqualification = Rematch

The show began with a rematch between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. I am a fan of both of these men and I was not sure who to root for in this one. At one point, both men ended up outside the ring and got so aggressive with one another to the point where they both ended up getting disqualified. This led to Bryan, who has been obsessed with not being called the “weak link” for quite some time now, going to Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and demanding a rematch for later in the evening, which Vickie eventually agreed to.

AJ Lee Strikes Again

During a match between Kaitlyn (accompanied by Layla El) and Aksana, Kaitlyn’s theme music hit and out comes WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee dressed as her. Aksana tried to take advantage of the distraction, but Kaitlyn was able to hit her with her signature maneuver “The Spear” to get the pin and the win. After the match, AJ Lee had her friend Big E Langston come out and they then proceeded to mock Kaitlyn by re-enacting the hoax that AJ pulled on Kaitlyn a few weeks ago. Layla ended up having …

My Take On G.I. Joe: Retaliation Starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Last weekend, I saw the movie G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which starred WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. This was the #1 movie in America. I thought the movie was pretty awesome. There were certainly a lot of interesting characters, both good and evil, including The Rock’s character. There were some parts of the movie where I was able to figure out what was going on at that certain moment and there were some that I couldn’t exactly figure out. Overall, it was a great movie and I would definitely recommend it to anybody. Now, I’m not gonna give away too much information about the movie, but based on the things that I saw towards the end of the movie, it looks like they have every intention of making a third movie (G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra being the first and this one being the second). I hope they do end up making a third movie.…

WWE Raw 4-8-13: The Crowd Takes Over Raw the Night After WrestleMania 29

This edition of Raw took place at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This was the night after WrestleMania 29 and this may have been either the most fun, exciting, or bizarre (depending on which way you look at it) Raw in history. WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler has been known for calling Canada “Bizarro Land”, but after seeing this edition of Raw, East Rutherford, New Jersey may very well be “Bizarro Land”. For three straight hours, the crowd chanted the most random things at random times. Some chants were heard for Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, Jerry Lawler, John “Bradshaw” Layfield, the late Randy Savage, and even announcers Michael Cole and Justin Roberts and referee Mike Chioda. The crowd even chanted “We Are Awesome!”. Well, like I said, it just depends on how you look at it. But the chant that truly took over the rest of the night was when the crowd hummed Fandango’s entrance music, even after Raw went off the air. All I can say is that I am sure there are many things that would be an understatement to describe what we heard/witnessed last night on Raw. As for the show …

WWE WrestleMania 29: Undertaker 21-0, Triple H the Wrestler Lives, Alberto Del Rio Retains, and John Cena Gets Redemption

WrestleMania 29 took place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The first match of the night was during the WrestleMania Pre-Show when Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett defended against The Miz. With his mother sitting front row at ringside, The Miz defeated Barrett to become the new champion. Therefore, Wade Barrett still has yet to get his first WrestleMania win. Also, Chris Jericho went one-on-one with Fandango. Fandango entered MetLife Stadium with a gaggle of gorgeous back-up dancers. While Jericho had his finishing submission hold, the Walls of Jericho, locked in, Fandango somehow managed to counter it into roll-up pin to get the 1-2-3 and pull off the upset, as well as get his first WrestleMania win. Also, Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) defended their WWE Tag Team Championships against Mr. Money In the Bank Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston with AJ Lee in their corner. Similar to what AJ gave Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania last year, AJ gave her beau Dolph a “good luck” kiss at the start of the match. Well, just like last year, the kiss turned out to be anything but good luck because just like Daniel lost last year, Ziggler & …

Rock and Cena Highlight WrestleMania 29 Press Conference

Earlier today, a WrestleMania 29 Press Conference took place from Radio City Music Hall in New York. Prior to the press conference beginning, Matt Striker interviewed both World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez. Ricardo said that despite his broken ankle, he vows to be in Alberto’s corner at WrestleMania this Sunday when Alberto defends his championship against #1 contender Jack Swagger. However, let’s keep in mind that Mr. Money In the Bank Dolph Ziggler still has yet to cash in his gaurenteed World Heavyweight Championship opportunity anytime and anywhere, so Alberto still needs to keep that in mind heading into WrestleMania this Sunday. While Michael Cole was opening up the press conference, he is interrupted by Fandango and NXT Superstar Summer Rae dancing their way onto the stage. The only thing Fandango does is show everybody how to pronounce his name to his liking and then dances off with Summer Rae. Also, it was revealed that numerous celebrities will take part in WrestleMania this Sunday. These celebrities include Sean “Diddy” Combs, rock band Living Colour, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and more. Finally, after both WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and challenger John Cena …

WWE Raw 4-1-12: The Road to WrestleMania 29 Heats Up

Things certainly heated up for the road to WrestleMania 29 on this week’s Raw. Both WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his WrestleMania challenger John Cena vowed victory on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Also, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels payed a visit to WWE on this edition of Raw announcing that he will be in WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H’s corner in his match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. It was also announced that the Intercontinental Championship match between champion Wade Barrett and challenger The Miz will take place during the WrestleMania 29 Pre-Show. Also, it was revealed that soon-to-be WWE Hall of Famer Trish Status tweeted that she wants Stephanie McMahon to induct her into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 6, 2013 at Madison Square Garden. Stephanie tweeted that she gladly accepts the honor. Lastly, the show ended with The Undertaker vowing to destroy CM Punk at WrestleMania 29; then, it was the return of The Druids…or so we thought. It turned out to all be a trap when Paul Heyman emerged impersonating the late Paul Bearer. Then, when Undertaker came to attack the phony Druids, CM Punk emerged as one of …

WWE Smackdown 3-29-13: The Road to WrestleMania Draws Nearer

The show began with WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson doing a second addition of Story Time With The Rock, but was eventually interrupted by John Laurinaitis. This is the first time that John Laurinaitis has appeared on WWE Television in nearly a year. He then offered to be in The Rock’s corner at WrestleMania for his championship match against John Cena. The Rock responded by giving Johnny a spinebuster followed by the People’s Elbow. During this week’s edition of Backstage Fallout from Smackdown on YouTube, John Laurinaitis made it clear that he’s not giving up yet; he is still gonna try to convince The Rock to let him be in his corner at WrestleMania. It’s pretty clear that Johnny is still not over the fact that John Cena played a very partial role in costing Johnny his position as General Manager of both Raw and Smackdown last year and he wants to use The Rock to get back at Cena. Also, WrestleMania 29 opponents Ryback and Mark Henry had a benchpress competition. Each man was to lift 225 pounds and do as many reps as they could. Mark Henry was first; he ended up doing 53 reps. Then, it …

WWE Smackdown 3-29-13: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Returns to “His” Show

Tonight on Smackdown, WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be visiting the show that was named after his catchphrase. Also, WrestleMania 29 opponents Ryback and Mark Henry will compete in a weightlifting competition. There will also be a tag team match tonight when WWE Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan teams up with WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn to take on Mr. Money In the Bank Dolph Ziggler & AJ Lee. Also, Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett will go one-on-one with his former NXT Pro Chris Jericho in a non-title match. Lastly, the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship Jack Swagger will go one-on-one with The Great Khali. It sounds like there will be quite a few Raw Superstars stopping by Smackdown tonight. Tune in at 8/7ct on Syfy.…
