My Thoughts on WWE Payback 2016

WWE Payback 2016 Results

First, during the Tag Team Tournament Finals Match between The Realest Guys in the Room (Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady) and The Vaudevillains to determine the #1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championship, an unfortunate incident happened. Not too long into the match, Enzo Amore’s head bounced off the middle rope and then the back of his head hit the ring apron causing some severe damage, which caused the referee to throw the match out. Enzo ended up having to be stretchered out of the arena and taken to a local medical facility; he was diagnosed with a concussion, but fortunately, all other tests came back negative. It is very unfortunate that the match had to end under these circumstances, but it just goes to show that injuries can happen at any given time. We definitely wish Enzo a speedy recovery.

NXT Has Made a Huge Impact in WWE

NXT_Wrestling

Whether it was the original version of NXT where an NXT Rookie was paired with a WWE Pro or NXT the current developmental system of WWE, many of today’s WWE Superstars on the main roster have come out of NXT. Some of these superstars have made it to the top, some have made a huge impact and some still have yet to make their presence felt. I am very confident that there will be many more superstars to come out of NXT in the near future.

NXT Alumni

The following superstars listed below have managed to land spots on the main roster. Some have gone on to become top stars, some are still working their way to the top and some even still spend part of their time down at NXT.

AJ Lee – 3-time WWE Divas Champion and Slammy Award Winner.

Alex Riley – Owns victories over 3 former World Champions and current panelist for the Raw Pre-Show and for Kick-Off shows before the WWE Pay-Per-View events.
