WWE Money In the Bank 7-14-13: Two Brand New Mr. Money In the Banks Crowned

Money In the Bank Kickoff

During the Money In the Bank Kickoff (Pre-Show), WWE Tag Team Champions and Shield members Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns defended their championships against #1 contenders and Reigns’ second cousins The Usos (Jimmy & Jey). The Usos came within inches of becoming the new champions, but in the end, it was Reigns who hit Jimmy with his signature maneuver “The Spear” to get the pin and the win for his team and retain their championships. I sure hope The Usos aren’t done with The Shield because Jimmy & Jey are way overdue for a WWE Tag Team Championship reign.

It’s Not Cryback, It’s Ryback

Chris Jericho went one-on-one with Ryback. During the weeks leading up to their match, Jericho played mind games with Ryback by referring to him as “Cryback”; unfortunately, it was not enough to over come the powerhouse when Ryback rolled up Jericho to get the pin and the win.

Kaitlyn’s Injury May Have Cost Her

In a WWE Divas Championship rematch between BFFs-turned-bitter enemies, Champion AJ Lee (accompanied by Big E Langston) and Challenger Kaitlyn (accompanied by Layla El), Kaitlyn came into the match wearing a sleeve over her injured left …

WWE Raw 6-17-13: Daniel Bryan Finally Proves to the Entire World (or Rather Himself) That He Is Not the “Weak Link”

 Double Disqualification = Rematch

The show began with a rematch between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. I am a fan of both of these men and I was not sure who to root for in this one. At one point, both men ended up outside the ring and got so aggressive with one another to the point where they both ended up getting disqualified. This led to Bryan, who has been obsessed with not being called the “weak link” for quite some time now, going to Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and demanding a rematch for later in the evening, which Vickie eventually agreed to.

AJ Lee Strikes Again

During a match between Kaitlyn (accompanied by Layla El) and Aksana, Kaitlyn’s theme music hit and out comes WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee dressed as her. Aksana tried to take advantage of the distraction, but Kaitlyn was able to hit her with her signature maneuver “The Spear” to get the pin and the win. After the match, AJ Lee had her friend Big E Langston come out and they then proceeded to mock Kaitlyn by re-enacting the hoax that AJ pulled on Kaitlyn a few weeks ago. Layla ended up having …

WWE Raw 6-17-13: Changes In the Air

I was in attendance for this edition of Raw that took place at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The show began with the new World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio (accompanied by his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez). Del Rio addressed his actions from the previous night at the Payback Pay-Per-View event and was met with a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe. After all of this, Del Rio then stated that for the last few months, he has fought for the WWE Universe and all they did was disrespect him. After making this statement, it was clear that both Del Rio and Rodriguez had turned heel. They are then interrupted by CM Punk (accompanied by Paul Heyman); Punk then made it clear that he did not appreciate Del Rio’s posturing. Then, despite protests from Heyman, Punk went on to challenge Del Rio to a non-title match for later on in the show. Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero (accompanied by her assistant Brad Maddox) came out and announced that the match would happen in the night’s main event. Also, after losing the Intercontinental Championship to Curtis Axel the night before at Payback, Barrett was scheduled to have …

WWE Raw 4-29-13: The Shield Remains Undefeated As A Trio

The show began with a Triple Threat Match set up by the Senior Advisor to the Smackdown General Manager (WWE Hall of Famer Booker T) Teddy Long. Teddy did not run this by Booker T like he’s supposed to. As for the match, it was between Ricardo Rodriguez (accompanied by Alberto Del Rio), NXT Champion Big E Langston (accompanied by World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler & AJ Lee), and Zeb Colter (accompanied by Jack Swagger). At the upcoming Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View event, Dolph Ziggler will be defending his championship against both Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat Match. The winner in this Triple Threat Match between Rodriguez, Langston, and Colter would allow his respective representative to choose the stipulation for the Triple Threat Match at Extreme Rules. After outside interference from all parties, it was Rodriguez who rolled up Colter for the pin and the win; therefore, Del Rio got to choose the stipulation for his match at Extreme Rules. Also, just hours after making an appearance on the talk show “Today”, Cena came to Raw with three Make-A-Wish Kids. The three Make-A-Wish Kids were granted their wishes by becoming honorary WWE Superstars for the evening. …

WWE NXT 4-24-13: All Champions Retain

The theme for this edition of NXT was “Clash of Champions”. There were four championships on the line. The first match was for the United States Championship. It was announced on the bottom of the NXT screen that this match was taped several weeks ago, meaning that Antonio Cesaro was the champion at the time it was taped, but since then, Kofi Kingston had beaten Cesaro for the championship on Raw. Therefore, we already knew Cesaro was going to retain. As for the match, Cesaro defended against NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville. After back-and-forth action between the two, it was Cesaro who hit Neville with his signature maneuver, the Neutralizer, to get the pin and the win to retain his championship. The next championship match was for the WWE Divas Championship with Kaitlyn defending against former BFF AJ Lee. In the end, Kaitlyn hit AJ with her signature maneuver, the Spear, to get the victory and retain. While AJ may have come up short in this bout, she did win a Divas Battle Royal on Raw this past Monday to earn an opportunity at the Divas Championship, so she will be getting another opportunity at the championship in the …

WWE Raw 4-22-13: John Cena “Adjusts” Ryback’s “Attitude”

The show began with Paul Heyman in the ring telling everybody that he was there on behalf of his client Brock Lesnar to await WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H’s response to Lesnar’s challenge to Triple H in a Steel Cage Match at the upcoming pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules. Heyman then informed the WWE Universe that he had received a text from Triple H saying that he wasn’t going to be at Raw this night due to the injuries to his arm he is recovering from and that he would give Lesnar his answer next week on Raw. However, Triple H’s music hit and out comes Triple H. Triple H then tells Heyman that the text he sent him was a lie. He then tells Heyman to tell Lesnar that he accepts his challenge at Extreme Rules and then hits Heyman with his signature move, the Pedigree. Also, Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and her assistant Brad Maddox informed World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler that if Chris Jericho wins in his non-title match against Ziggler, then Jericho will be added to the World Heavyweight Championship Match at Extreme Rules between champion Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, and Jack Swagger, thus becoming …

WWE Raw 4-16-13: New United States Champion, Ryback Turns On His Fans

The show began with a rematch from this past Friday on Smackdown when Randy Orton & Sheamus faced The Big Show in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. Despite Big Show dominating most of the match-up, Orton & Sheamus ended up coming out on top. This was the good news for Sheamus; however, the bad news was that later on in the show during an interview, Mark Henry ambushed Sheamus just like he did this past Friday on Smackdown. What exactly are Henry’s motives for these unprovoked attacks on Sheamus? Also, 3MB (Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, & Jinder Mahal) called out The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns), but instead, they got Brock Lesnar, who came out and disposed of 3MB. After Lesnar’s manager Paul Heyman came out to calm him down, Heyman then informed WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H that Lesnar has issued a challenge to Triple H for the upcoming WWE Pay-Per-View Event, Extreme Rules. Lesnar has challenged Triple H to a Steel Cage Match. Triple H was late arriving at Raw this past Monday due to the fact that he was getting an MRI done on his injured arm. The good news is that nothing is …

WWE NXT 4-10-13: William Regal Gets Retribution

On this week’s edition of NXT, Tom Phillips and the Assistant To the Raw Managing Supervisor (Vickie Guerrero) Brad Maddox were on commentary and Kendall Skye handled ring announcing duties. The show began with a 6-Man Tag Team Match between the team of Percy Watson, Axl Keegan, and Scott Dawson against The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns). I should also point out that both Axl Keegan and Scott Dawson turned face on this edition of NXT. As for the match, The Shield defeated the their opponents, thus remaining undefeated as a trio. After the match, The Shield gave Scott Dawson their patented Triple Powerbomb. Then, Corey Graves appeared on the titantron and issued a challenge to any one of the members of The Shield next week on NXT. Seth Rollins stepped up to the plate and told his cohorts that they could have the night off next week. NXT Commissioner and WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes confirmed that the match would be a main event Lumberjack Match next week. While I am not a fan of either Graves nor Rollins, I’m gonna be rooting against Rollins. The second match of the night was between The Funkadactyls …

WWE NXT 4-3-13: Big E Langston Gains Valuable Momentum

The commentary team for this week’s edition of NXT was Tony Dawson, the Assistant to the Raw Managing Supervisor (Vickie Guerrero) Brad Maddox, and Kassius Ohno. The first match of the night was a tag team match between the team of Bo Dallas and NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville against Wyatt Family members Luke Harper & Erick Rowan. It was reported that Adrian Neville’s NXT Tag Team Championship partner Oliver Grey is out of action with an injury and will be out of action for at least 6 months. I’m not sure how many days a championship needs to be defended within, so hopefully they won’t have to relinquish their championships. As for the result of the match, despite interference from the leader of The Wyatt Family Bray Wyatt, Dallas and Neville still managed to pick up the victory. The second match of the night was a Divas Tag Team Match between the team of Paige and Sasha Banks and the team of Summer Rae and Audrey Marie. I guess WWE saw my post from not to long ago suggesting this match between these two teams. As for the match, at one point during the match, Sasha and Summer …

2013 WWE Returns

There have been quite a few superstars that have returned to the WWE this year. These superstars include (in no particular order) Brock Lesnar, Brad Maddox, Zeb Colter, Chris Jericho, and The Bella Twins. I’m wondering if any more superstars will return to the WWE this year. If so, it better be to the benefits of the WWE Universe. Thus far, out of all the returns listed above, Chris Jericho is the only one that has returned to the benefits of the WWE Universe.…

WWE Smackdown 3-8-13 Review

On this edition of Smackdown, Michael Cole informed the WWE Universe that he would be filling in on commentary for JBL (the normal commentary team being Josh Mathews and JBL) for the next few weeks due to JBL’s mountain climbing duties. The Assistant to the Raw Managing Supervisor Brad Maddox also unexpectedly joined the commentary team for the night. The two main events were World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Mr. Money In the Bank Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match and Sheamus vs. Big Show. Del Rio once again came out on top against Ziggler in the series of matches against one another. I don’t know if anybody else notices, but Dolph Ziggler has been on quite a bit of a losing streak as of late. In the other main event, The Shield interrupted the match by attacking Sheamus, thus getting Big Show disqualified. Randy Orton came out to even the odds a little more for Sheamus. Eventually, Big Show recovered from the Brogue Kick from Sheamus and cleared The Shield from the ring. However, Big Show then clocked Sheamus with a KO Punch followed by Orton RKOing Big Show to end the program. Another interesting thing that …

WWE Raw 2-25-13 Review

Last night’s Raw was quite interesting. Both Brock Lesnar and Triple H returned to Raw and brawled with one another. The brawl was so brutal that Lesnar got busted open and had to get 18 staples to close the wound in his head. There was also MizTV with guests Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez and Jack Swagger with w/ Zeb Colter. I think Swagger and Colter are making it crystal clear that they have no desire to befriend any foreigners whatsoever. I think Alberto Del Rio put it best, America doesn’t belong to just one person, it belongs to everybody. Also, after Team Hell No claimed that they could beat Prime Time Players “blindfolded” and  “with one arm tied behind my back”, respectively, Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and her assistant Brad Maddox had them put those claims to the test (literally). I think for the most part Kane did pretty good, but I saw little struggle from Daniel Bryan. Regardless, Team Hell No pulled off the victory. I also thought it was great how Sheamus had diverted the attention of two shield members while Randy Orton came up from behind the one in the ring and hit him …
