In 2001, a young fan who would later go on to become WWE Superstar AJ Lee had the honor and privilege of meeting now-WWE Hall of Famer Lita. In 2012, Lita would begin dating former WWE Superstar CM Punk. Eventually, they would break up and CM Punk would go on to date AJ Lee and the two would end up marrying one another. They are still married to this day. First, CM Punk was with Lita and then Punk would go on to marry the very woman who met Lita as a young fan. This begs the question, was this just a big coincidence or was this destiny? You be the judge.…

As of right now, the main event match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30 is going to be the champion Randy Orton against the challenger Batista. The only problem is that both of these guys are currently heels. There needs to be a face in the World Championship match because not once in the history of WrestleMania has there been a World Championship Match that did not include a face and it certainly should not start now. If that face does not end up being CM Punk, then WWE needs to put someone in that match as the face and make it a Triple Threat Match for the championship. Make it happen WWE!…

Last week Tuesday, my dad and I were in attendance for the WWE Main Event (which airs Wednesdays at 8/7 PM CT on Ion Television) and Smackdown (which airs Fridays at 8/7 PM CT on Syfy) tapings at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I am posting this now because I do not believe in putting spoilers in my posts. We were seated not very far away from ringside, so we had a pretty close view of the event.
During the Main Event taping, a match between Naomi (accompanied by Cameron Lynn) and NXT standout Emma took place that didn’t end up being televised, with Naomi coming out the victor. Also, at the very beginning of a divas tag team match between The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie) and the team of Alicia Fox & Aksana, something awesome happened. I started a “Total Divas” chant for The Bellas and Nikki heard me because she pointed right at me. The Bellas were victorious in that match.
As for Smackdown, at one point during the show, Emma was in the audience during two matches, at least. This was the second week in a row that …
The Outlaws Turn On CM Punk
On the January 13, 2014 edition of WWE Raw, CM Punk teamed with The New Age Outlaws (“Road Dogg” Jesse James & “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn) against Authority members The Shield (current United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns). Just as Punk was reaching over to tag in one of his partners, The Outlaws shockingly walked out on him, thus turning heel in the process, and it would allow The Shield to pick up the victory. Afterwards, Punk was convinced that The Outlaws are in cahoots with The Authority, the very faction that Punk has had issues with as of late. Punk believes this is due to the fact that Triple H has history with The Outlaws in their days as members of D Generation-X.
Signs Start to Become More Clear
Four days later on Smackdown, there were some signs that pointed to Punk’s assumption. First, The Outlaws were conveniently in a non-title tag team match against WWE Tag Team Champions The Brotherhood (Dustin “Goldust” & Cody Rhodes). If The Outlaws were able to knock off the Tag Team Champions, it would put them in line for a future …
Money In the Bank Kickoff
During the Money In the Bank Kickoff (Pre-Show), WWE Tag Team Champions and Shield members Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns defended their championships against #1 contenders and Reigns’ second cousins The Usos (Jimmy & Jey). The Usos came within inches of becoming the new champions, but in the end, it was Reigns who hit Jimmy with his signature maneuver “The Spear” to get the pin and the win for his team and retain their championships. I sure hope The Usos aren’t done with The Shield because Jimmy & Jey are way overdue for a WWE Tag Team Championship reign.
It’s Not Cryback, It’s Ryback
Chris Jericho went one-on-one with Ryback. During the weeks leading up to their match, Jericho played mind games with Ryback by referring to him as “Cryback”; unfortunately, it was not enough to over come the powerhouse when Ryback rolled up Jericho to get the pin and the win.
Kaitlyn’s Injury May Have Cost Her
In a WWE Divas Championship rematch between BFFs-turned-bitter enemies, Champion AJ Lee (accompanied by Big E Langston) and Challenger Kaitlyn (accompanied by Layla El), Kaitlyn came into the match wearing a sleeve over her injured left …
Every Money In the Bank Competitor, Except One, States His Case
With the WWE Championship Contract Money In the Bank Briefcase hanging above the ring and a ladder inside the ring, Daniel Bryan came out to state his case on why he would win the WWE Championship Contract Money In the Bank Ladder Match at the upcoming WWE event, Money In the Bank. Then, all the rest of the competitors for this match came out, which consists of Sheamus O’Shaunessy, Randy Orton, Kane, Christian, and CM Punk. The only one who was conspicuous by his absence was Rob Van Dam. After all the rest of the men stated their cases, chaos followed when Orton struck Kane with his signature maneuver “The RKO”.
Kane Gets Some Unwanted Assistance
Backstage, Daniel Bryan informed his former Team Hell No tag team partner Kane that Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero made a match between Kane and Randy Orton with Daniel Bryan as the special guest referee. I am a fan of both Kane and Orton and was not sure who to root for in this one. As for the match, at one point, Orton kind of shoved Bryan, leading to Bryan disqualifying Orton …
WWE Raw 6-17-13: Daniel Bryan Finally Proves to the Entire World (or Rather Himself) That He Is Not the “Weak Link”
- July 1, 2013
Double Disqualification = Rematch
The show began with a rematch between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. I am a fan of both of these men and I was not sure who to root for in this one. At one point, both men ended up outside the ring and got so aggressive with one another to the point where they both ended up getting disqualified. This led to Bryan, who has been obsessed with not being called the “weak link” for quite some time now, going to Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and demanding a rematch for later in the evening, which Vickie eventually agreed to.
AJ Lee Strikes Again
During a match between Kaitlyn (accompanied by Layla El) and Aksana, Kaitlyn’s theme music hit and out comes WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee dressed as her. Aksana tried to take advantage of the distraction, but Kaitlyn was able to hit her with her signature maneuver “The Spear” to get the pin and the win. After the match, AJ Lee had her friend Big E Langston come out and they then proceeded to mock Kaitlyn by re-enacting the hoax that AJ pulled on Kaitlyn a few weeks ago. Layla ended up having …
The show began with Daniel Bryan addressing his match being stopped on Raw a few nights ago due to suffering an injury that didn’t allow him to continue. Bryan has been obsessed with proving to everybody that he is not the “weak link”. After Randy Orton came out to tell Bryan that when helped him to his feet after their match on Raw and embraced him, that he respects Bryan for his guts and determination. Instead, Bryan took that sportsmanship as pity and was determined to prove himself in their rematch later on in the evening. Also, Wade Barrett got his Intercontinental Championship rematch after losing the championship to Curtis Axel at Payback the previous Sunday. It was a Triple Threat Match that also featured The Miz; Axel won the championship in controversial fashion when Miz had Wade Barrett locked in his signature submission hold “The Figure Four Leg-Lock” and Axel picked up the scraps by pinning Barrett to win the championship, so I felt that he needed to prove himself as Intercontinental Champion. During the rematch against Barrett, Axel did just that by hitting Barrett with his signature maneuver and pinning him for the 1-2-3 to retain his championship. …
I was in attendance for this edition of Raw that took place at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The show began with the new World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio (accompanied by his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez). Del Rio addressed his actions from the previous night at the Payback Pay-Per-View event and was met with a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe. After all of this, Del Rio then stated that for the last few months, he has fought for the WWE Universe and all they did was disrespect him. After making this statement, it was clear that both Del Rio and Rodriguez had turned heel. They are then interrupted by CM Punk (accompanied by Paul Heyman); Punk then made it clear that he did not appreciate Del Rio’s posturing. Then, despite protests from Heyman, Punk went on to challenge Del Rio to a non-title match for later on in the show. Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero (accompanied by her assistant Brad Maddox) came out and announced that the match would happen in the night’s main event. Also, after losing the Intercontinental Championship to Curtis Axel the night before at Payback, Barrett was scheduled to have …
In a match during the Payback Kickoff (Pre-Show), Sheamus O’Shaunessy defeated one-half of Team Rhodes Scholars Damien Sandow. As for the matches for the Pay-Per-View portion of Payback, WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn had retribution on her mind heading into her defense against former BFF AJ Lee; unfortunately, it was not to be because in the end, it was AJ who forced Kaitlyn to submit to her signature submission hold “The Black Widow” to become the WWE Divas Champion for the first time. After the heart-wrenching loss, Kaitlyn was consoled by fellow former WWE Divas Champions Layla El, Natalya Neidhart, and Alicia Fox, thus turning Alicia face. Also, United States Champion and Shield leader Dean Ambrose defended against Kane. In the end, when Kane attempted to hit Ambrose with his signature maneuver “The Chokeslam” through the announcers’ table outside the ring, it was Ambrose who countered by hitting Kane with a DDT and getting back in the ring to beat the referee’s ten count, thus beating Kane and retaining his championship via count-out. Also, Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett was originally scheduled to defend against both The Miz and Fandango in a Triple Threat Match; however, Fandango had suffered an injury during …

The show began with WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H going against his father-in-law, WWE Chairman, and CEO Vincent K. McMahon’s and Triple H’s wife Stephanie McMahon’s wishes by going one-on-one with Curtis Axel (accompanied by Paul Heyman). At one point, while Triple H had the match well in hand, Vince McMahon comes out and orders the timekeeper to ring the bell to end the match, then he tells ring announcer Justin Roberts to announce Curtis Axel as the winner as a result of a disqualification. Then, Triple H gives the order to restart the match. Afterward, Mr. McMahon gives the order to declare Curtis Axel the winner as a result of a forfeit. Then, Triple H gives the order to restart the match and declares it a 60-minute Iron Man Match. Lastly, Mr. McMahon comes out to declare Curtis Axel the winner once and for all by absconding the ring bell and microphone used by Justin Roberts, so that Triple H can’t restart the match again. Later on, Triple H speaks with his wife backstage and tells her that her father crossed the line. While Stephanie agreed with her husband, she begged him not to hurt his father-in-law. While …
The show began with WWE Executive Vice President of Creative Stephanie McMahon coming out to inform the WWE Universe that despite the fact that her husband and WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H has been medically cleared to compete, she has made an executive decision to not allow her husband to have his match for the evening against Curtis Axel, much to the dismay of the WWE Universe. Stephanie’s father and WWE Chairman and CEO Vincent K. McMahon came out to back her daughter up on her decision. Later on, when Triple H arrived at the arena, he confronted his wife and father-in-law and made it clear that he was going to have his scheduled match with Curtis Axel, but Stephanie and Mr. McMahon would still not approve. At one point, things started to get a little intense between Triple H and Mr. McMahon when Vince warned Triple H not to do something he might regret. Eventually, Triple H chose to leave the arena so that “his children wouldn’t have to see him beat their grandfather’s ass on national TV”. Before Triple H left in his limousine, he told Stephanie to tell her father that he will be in the …
This Memorial Day edition of Raw was dedicated to all the men and women serving in the U.S. Military. The show began with WWE Champion John Cena coming out to address Ryback’s challenge to an Ambulance Match at the upcoming Payback Pay-Per-View event. Cena announced that at Payback, he will defend his championship against Ryback in a Three Stages of Hell Match. A Three Stages of Hell Match consists of a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match with with each fall having a stipulation. Cena said that the first fall’s stipulation will be a Lumberjack Match, the second fall a Tables Match, and, if necessary, the third fall will be the very stipulation Ryback challenged Cena to, an Ambulance Match. Ryback then came out and accepted the challenge. So, it’s official, at Payback, Cena will defend his championship against Ryback in a Three Stages of Hell Match. After Ryback accepted, Paul Heyman and his newest client, Curtis Axel, came out and issued a challenge to Cena for a non-title one-on-one match for the main event of the evening, which Cena accepted. Also, the WWE Universe were given the opportunity to vote on the WWE App on which role The Miz would play in …
Tonight, Raw heads to the U.K. when it takes place from London, England. Last week on Raw, Brock Lesnar challenged WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H to a Steel Cage Match at the upcoming pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules. Triple H will be at Raw tonight to respond to the challenge. We have to also wonder what condition Triple H’s recently injured arm will be in. Also, it is the one-night reunion of The Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker & Kane) when Undertaker teams up with WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) to take on The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns). Also, CM Punk shocked his manager Paul Heyman, as well as the rest of world, last week on Raw when he walked out while addressing his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. Will Punk or Heyman have any explanation behind Punk’s walkout tonight? Lastly, will John Cena get payback on Ryback tonight for his recent shocking attack on Cena? All of this and much more tonight on Raw at 8/7 on USA Network.…
The show began with a rematch from this past Friday on Smackdown when Randy Orton & Sheamus faced The Big Show in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. Despite Big Show dominating most of the match-up, Orton & Sheamus ended up coming out on top. This was the good news for Sheamus; however, the bad news was that later on in the show during an interview, Mark Henry ambushed Sheamus just like he did this past Friday on Smackdown. What exactly are Henry’s motives for these unprovoked attacks on Sheamus? Also, 3MB (Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, & Jinder Mahal) called out The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns), but instead, they got Brock Lesnar, who came out and disposed of 3MB. After Lesnar’s manager Paul Heyman came out to calm him down, Heyman then informed WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H that Lesnar has issued a challenge to Triple H for the upcoming WWE Pay-Per-View Event, Extreme Rules. Lesnar has challenged Triple H to a Steel Cage Match. Triple H was late arriving at Raw this past Monday due to the fact that he was getting an MRI done on his injured arm. The good news is that nothing is …
