My Thoughts on WWE Payback 2016

WWE Payback 2016 Results

First, during the Tag Team Tournament Finals Match between The Realest Guys in the Room (Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady) and The Vaudevillains to determine the #1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championship, an unfortunate incident happened. Not too long into the match, Enzo Amore’s head bounced off the middle rope and then the back of his head hit the ring apron causing some severe damage, which caused the referee to throw the match out. Enzo ended up having to be stretchered out of the arena and taken to a local medical facility; he was diagnosed with a concussion, but fortunately, all other tests came back negative. I would like to point out that this injury is not a storyline injury, Enzo really got hurt. It is very unfortunate that the match had to end under these circumstances, but it just goes to show that injuries can happen at any given time. We definitely wish Enzo a speedy recovery.

There is also the match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. After Owens beat Zayn fair and square, Owens tarnished that by attacking him after the match. Owens then insisted that Byron Saxton get up from the commentators’ table …

WWE Hall of Famers Who Are Worthy of Having a Statue

Andre the Giant Statue Bruno Sammartino Statue 2 Ultimate Warrior Statue

Dusty Rhodes Statue

Ric Flair Statue

WWE has made life-size statues of WWE Hall of Famers Andre the Giant, Bruno Sammartino, The Ultimate Warrior, Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair because of the significant impact they have made in the wrestling world. All statues are now displayed at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT. Below are a list of WWE Hall of Famers that I feel have also made a significant impact in the wrestling world and are also worthy of having a statue.

Hulk Hogan

Bret “The Hitman” Hart

“Macho Man” Randy Savage

Shawn Michaels

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin

WWE Goes “Beyond the Ring”

Beyond the Ring

As many people may know, the WWE Network is up and running. There are definitely some interesting original programs on there. One of those programs is called “Beyond the Ring”. This program shows behind-the-scenes documentaries from DVDs/Blue Ray discs courtesy of WWE Home Video. Below are the documentaries that the WWE Network has aired thus far.

Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart

This is the documentary that gives the inside scoop on the classic rivalry between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart both inside and outside of the ring. One interesting fact people will find out is the fact that the animosity between these two started quite some time before the infamous “Montreal Screw Job” took place. I am definitely glad that they ended up patching things up in the end.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

This is a documentary that tells the story about Stone Cold’s rise to fame. It goes back to his early days in WCCW and USWA to his average rise in WCW and ECW all the way to his rise to superstardom in WWE. There were definitely a lot of interesting things shown in this, but there is one thing that wasn’t shown that I wish …

WWE Raw 5-27-13: Bret Hart Appreciation Night

This Memorial Day edition of Raw was dedicated to all the men and women serving in the U.S. Military. The show began with WWE Champion John Cena coming out to address Ryback’s challenge to an Ambulance Match at the upcoming Payback Pay-Per-View event. Cena announced that at Payback, he will defend his championship against Ryback in a Three Stages of Hell Match. A Three Stages of Hell Match consists of a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match with with each fall having a stipulation. Cena said that the first fall’s stipulation will be a Lumberjack Match, the second fall a Tables Match, and, if necessary, the third fall will be the very stipulation Ryback challenged Cena to, an Ambulance Match. Ryback then came out and accepted the challenge. So, it’s official, at Payback, Cena will defend his championship against Ryback in a Three Stages of Hell Match. After Ryback accepted, Paul Heyman and his newest client, Curtis Axel, came out and issued a challenge to Cena for a non-title one-on-one match for the main event of the evening, which Cena accepted. Also, the WWE Universe were given the opportunity to vote on the WWE App on which role The Miz would play in …

WWE Raw 3-25-13: WWE Championship Match For WrestleMania 29 Intensifies

The show began with CM Punk and Paul Heyman coming out to taunt Punk’s WrestleMania 29 opponent The Undertaker once more. Punk was still in possession of the urn he stole from Undertaker. Eventually, there was a gong and the lights went out in the arena. Then, there was a second gong and when the lights came back on, The Undertaker was in the ring. Undertaker started to attack Punk, but before he could regain possession of the urn, Paul Heyman sprinted off with it and Punk managed to escape Undertaker’s wrath. The mind games from Punk continue. Also, Fandango was scheduled to have a match, but before his opponent could even come out, Chris Jericho comes out to get some retribution on Fandango for his attack on Jericho this past Friday on Smackdown. Jericho drives Fandango out of the ring and Fandango’s match never gets under way. Then, Mr. Money In the Bank, accompanied by AJ Lee and NXT Champion Big E Langston, come out for Ziggler’s match with Jericho that they were supposed to have later on in the show. Jericho ends up defeating Ziggler, but Big E Langston attacks Jericho after the match and lays him out …

Kiss My Foot Matches Between the Women

The Rule of a Kiss My Foot Match is that the loser of the match must kiss the winner’s feet. Throughout wrestling history, WWE has had two Kiss My Foot Matches that featured the men, but have never had any between the women. However, there was one Kiss My Foot Match between the women that took place at WWE’s Developmental Territory in late 2007, but it was kind of only one-sided because only one of the women in the match had the opportunity of getting her feet kissed by her opponent. When the men have Kiss My Foot Matches, it’s a pretty disturbing sight, but if the women had them, the sight would be much better. Bottom line, I think there should be more Kiss My Foot Matches between the women in any wrestling company.…

Sting vs. The Rock

Sting vs. The Rock

The Rock has faced many of wrestling’s biggest names of all time. He has faced
names like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, John
Cena, Triple H, and The Undertaker. But there is one name he has yet to face and
that name is Sting. Sting and The Rock spent a majority of their two respective
careers during the Monday Night War (between WWE Raw and WCW Nitro). While
Sting was part of WCW, The Rock was part of the WWE. There were many names that
jumped ship between the two companies during this time, but Sting and The Rock
were two names that never jumped ship. And to this day, these two big names
still remain in two different wrestling companies (The Rock still with WWE and
Sting with TNA). Perhaps these are the reasons why these two big names have
never faced each other one-on-one before. I’m still hoping this match will
happen someday, somehow. Who do you think would win?…
