Things That Need To/Should Happen In TNA In 2014

tna 2014The New Year has officially begun and there are a few things that I think need to, or at least should, happen in TNA in 2014.

Let Taryn Terrell Take Her Rightful Place

At the Top of the Knockouts Division

When Taryn Terrell first arrived in TNA in 2012, she started out as the referee for all the knockouts’ matches. Shortly after, she spent time at TNA’s Developmental System, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), and had a brief run as OVW Women’s Champion. Many months later, she got into a conflict with Gail Kim. This not only led to Taryn being relieved of her duties as a referee and made into a full time competitor, but it also led to one of the most memorable knockouts rivalries in recent memory. These two women took the knockouts division to new heights when they competed against one another in two of the most physical, as well as memorable, knockouts matches in TNA history. First, it was Taryn who was victorious over Gail in a Last Knockouts Standing Match at TNA Slammiversary XI. Then, it was Gail who knocked off Taryn in a Ladder Match a few weeks later on an edition of Impact Wrestling. Since that match, Taryn had disappeared and has not been seen or heard from since. When Taryn finally makes her long-awaited return, TNA should definitely give her a run as TNA Knockout Women’s Champion because after beating former Knockouts Champion Gail Kim, as well as taking her to the limit, in two very physical matches, Taryn has definitely proven that she belongs and is very worthy. Just for the record, I think that Taryn is the most beautiful knockout on the TNA roster right now.

No More Heel Commentators

The two current heel commentators in TNA are Taz and Michael Titus, who commentates at OVW events. Taz has been a heel ever since joining the faction Aces & Eights; he was quite unbearable during this time. He antagonized his fellow commentators, the faces, and the TNA Fans. Also, not only did he defend and sympathize with his fellow heels, as well as fellow Aces & Eights cohorts dastardly ways, he also actually physically interfered in matches on behalf of his Aces & Eights cohorts. Interfering in matches is one thing a commentator is definitely not supposed to do. Ever since the Aces & Eights were forced to disband for life, Taz has not been as unbearable and has not interfered in any matches, but he still continues his antagonizing and sympathetic ways, as mentioned above. As far as Michael Titus, he pretty much does things similar to what Taz does.. The only difference between the two is that Taz is a retired wrestler, while Titus is not and never was a wrestler. Both men arrogantly talk smack about the faces who are wrestlers, but since Taz was once a wrestler himself, he has a little more of a right to talk smack about the other wrestlers. Titus, on the other hand, needs to understand that he can’t be a non-wrestler and get away with talking smack about the wrestlers. Therefore, he should have gotten a much-needed and well-deserved beating from all those wrestlers he has done this to. Bottom line, both of these men are all about spewing propaganda and need to be removed from commentary. Afterwards, TNA should not put any more heels on commentary because the TNA Fans have enough of their garbage that they are forced to put up with.

One comment

  1. I agree. Taz has been way out of line for far too long especially for a “calling it down the line” commentator. I think the same goes for JBL on WWE. He usually sides with the Heels and virtually any form of cheating as long as the wrestler doesn’t get caught. Not very ethical JBL.
