The Story Behind the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

As many people may know, the first-ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal took place at WrestleMania 30. The winner ended up being Cesaro. Originally, there were supposed to be 30 men in the match, but it ended up being 31 instead. I have a theory to how all of this happened. First, based on what I heard on this past Monday’s Raw Pre-Show, I think the reason that Christian did not end up competing in the Battle Royal was due to injury. Also, during this past Monday’s Raw, I noticed the commentators mentioning how Paul Heyman got Cesaro into the Battle Royal. After hearing all of this, I have come up with this theory: With Christian out of the Battle Royal, it went from three open spots to four open spots. The four guys that filled those spots were Xavier Woods, Tyson Kidd, Yoshi Tatsu, and David Otunga. I think this is how the Battle Royal was originally supposed to take place; however, somehow, someway, Heyman must have gotten Ceasro into the Battle Royal and that is how it became 31 instead of 30. With that being said, I think there is indeed some controversy surrounding this WrestleMania 30 match that took place.
