I recently watched a documentary called “What?: GLOW: The Story of Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling”. GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) was an all-women wrestling company that took the 80s by storm. This documentary talked about the ladies who wrestled for the company, the rise and fall of the company, and the first-ever reunion of the women since the company’s demise. I truly believe that this wrestling company had a huge impact on wrestling’s women’s divisions we see today in top companies like World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), and Ring of Honor Wrestling (ROH). As a matter of fact, what I really found interesting about this was the fact that former WWE Diva Ivory wrestled for GLOW before she went on to become a 3-time WWE Women’s Champion in WWE. Ivory wrestled under the name Tina Ferrari. I feel that this wrestling company showed that the women can be just as dominant as the men can be in the world of professional wrestling.
