Before they became wrestlers, four guys once served as bodyguards for famous music artists. Former WWE and IMPACT Wrestling Superstar the late Andrew “Test” Martin was a bodyguard for legendary rock band Motley Crue, former WWE and IMPACT Wrestling Superstar Tomko was a bodyguard for Limp Bizkit, former WWE and IMPACT Wrestling Superstar Brodus Clay / Tyrus was a bodyguard for iconic hip hop artist and WWE Hall of Famer (Celebrity Wing) Snoop Dogg and current WWE Superstar Sheamus was a bodyguard for legendary rock band and fellow Irishmen U2. All four of these men would go on to achieve success in the world of wrestling. Test would go on to hold the Intercontinental, European, Hardcore, and World Tag Team Championships; I definitely think he was one of the most underrated wrestlers. Tomko would go on to become an IMPACT World Tag Team Champion and a team captain for Team Tomko, a team of the best Superstars IMPACT Wrestling had to offer; I would also put him in the underrated category. Tyrus has found success in IMPACT Wrestling by earning himself an opportunity at the IMPACT World Championship, but he came up short; I would also label him underrated. Sheamus is in the prime of his career right now; he is a former King of the Ring, former Royal Rumble Winner, former Mr. Money in the Bank, former SmackDown Tag Team Champion, 3-time Raw Tag Team Champion, former United States Champion and 4-time World Champion. These four guys were not necessarily famous before they got into the wrestling business, but they were used to being around famous people, so I think that played a vital role in them being at home in the spotlight.
Great insight on how being bodyguards for famous people helped to prepare these guys for the fast paced, touring lifestyle of professional wrestling. I think living on the road going from city to city can really wear a person out. These three certainly knew what they were getting into.
