One match that took place on this edition of Smackdown was a non-title Champion vs. Champion Match between new United States Champion Kofi Kingston and Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett. On this night, Kofi proved to be the better champion by defeating Barrett. Also, there has been some tension between Smackdown General Manager and WWE Hall Famer Booker T and his Senior Advisor Teddy Long as of late. The reason being that Teddy has been coming up with match ideas and not running them by Booker T like he’s supposed to be. More fuel was added to that fire when Big Show came into Booker T’s office and it was revealed that Teddy Long had come up with the Tag Team Main Event Match of the evening between the team of Randy Orton & Sheamus against the team of Big Show and Mark Henry, unbeknownst to Booker T. I sure hope Booker T and Teddy Long fix their issues because I think they make a great team. Also, after Primo, Epico, & Rosa Mendes stole a parking spot from The Great Khali, Hornswoggle, & Natalya earlier in the day, the six decided to settle their dispute in a Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match later in the night. As for the outcome of that match, Khali, Hornswoggle, & Natalya were victorious. Finally, in the main event, while Randy Orton & Sheamus have teamed up for the past couple of months, Big Show and Mark Henry were teaming together for the first time ever. In the end, it was the combined size of Big Show and Mark Henry that overcame the experience-as-a-team factor of Orton & Sheamus.
