WWE NXT 4-3-13: Big E Langston Gains Valuable Momentum

The commentary team for this week’s edition of NXT was Tony Dawson, the Assistant to the Raw Managing Supervisor (Vickie Guerrero) Brad Maddox, and Kassius Ohno. The first match of the night was a tag team match between the team of Bo Dallas and NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville against Wyatt Family members Luke Harper & Erick Rowan. It was reported that Adrian Neville’s NXT Tag Team Championship partner Oliver Grey is out of action with an injury and will be out of action for at least 6 months. I’m not sure how many days a championship needs to be defended within, so hopefully they won’t have to relinquish their championships. As for the result of the match, despite interference from the leader of The Wyatt Family Bray Wyatt, Dallas and Neville still managed to pick up the victory. The second match of the night was a Divas Tag Team Match between the team of Paige and Sasha Banks and the team of Summer Rae and Audrey Marie. I guess WWE saw my post from not to long ago suggesting this match between these two teams. As for the match, at one point during the match, Sasha and Summer were the two legal women when Sasha tagged in Paige. After the two divas stared each other down, Summer Rae chose to tag in Audrey and bail on the match, leaving Audrey to get finished off by Sasha for the 1-2-3 count. Instead of sticking around to celebrate her and Sasha’s victory, Paige headed towards the back pursuing Summer Rae. For all you wrestling bloggers out there who may have a storyline/match idea, be sure to post it on your blog because you never know, it might end up happening. Shortly afterward, William Regal came out of nowhere and attacked Kassius Ohno, returning the favor from last week. Next week on NXT, William Regal and Kassius Ohno will go one-on-one. Tony Dawson and Brad Maddox called the rest of the show without Kassius. In the main event, NXT Champion Big E Langston defended his championship against #1 contender Conor O’Brian. While I am not a fan of either one of these guys, I was rooting against Big E; however, a lot of the fans seemed to be behind Big E. Big E ended up getting the victory and retaining his championship and gaining valuable momentum towards his match for WrestleMania this Sunday. After the match was over, Big E hit Conor with his finishing move one last time and covered him and counted to five instead of three, which he has become known for wanting to do. As Big E held the five-finger count high while chanting five, the crowd chanted along with him. Big E will team up with Mr. Money In the Bank Dolph Ziggler with AJ Lee in their corner for an opportunity at Team Hell No’s WWE Tag Team Championships. After seeing the way the crowd get behind Big E on this edition of NXT, something hit me; I think it would be great if Dolph and Big E end up getting beat by Team Hell No and after the match, both Dolph and AJ end up blaming Big E for the loss with Dolph getting all up in Big E’s grill and Big E retaliating by laying out Dolph with his finishing maneuver, thus turning face in the process.
