WWE NXT 3-13-13 Review

The first match of the night was between Derrick Bateman and Kassius Ohno. After Kassius got the victory, he continued to attack Bateman. This led to William Regal leaving the announce table and putting a stop to Ohno’s attack. Regal later apologized because he felt he was being unprofessional. In my opinion, he didn’t have to apologize for anything because someone had to put a stop Ohno’s attack. The next match was between Emma and Summer Rae. Now while I am a fan of both women’s looks, I am not a fan of either one of them personally, so it was great to see them beat the hell out of one another. However, since I hate Summer Rae more, I was rooting against her. Summer ended up getting the victory, but after the match was over, Paige came storming down to the ring to get a piece of Summer Rae, who injured her shoulder. But Summer Rae chickened out and high-tailed it out of the ring. It’s obvious that the score between these two is far from settled. Backstage, Renee Young interviewed NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville to get an update on his NXT Tag Team Championship partner Oliver Grey after the attack he suffered from The Wyatt Family the previous week. Adrian said that his partner will be just fine. Adrian then issued a challenge to any member of The Wyatt Family next week. Which member will Adrian face? Then, in a Brother vs. Brother Match, Bo Dallas took on Bray Wyatt. Bo Dallas got the victory, but was attacked by The Wyatt Family after the match. Bo Dallas won the battle, Bray Wyatt won the war. During a backstage interview, Justin Gabirel announced that he would be going one-on-one with Leo Kruger next week. Finally, World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez made a special appearance. Alberto told the entire WWE Universe that he feels that one of the guys in the NXT locker room is either the next WWE or World Heavyweight Champion. Personally, I couldn’t agree with him more. Del Rio was then interrupted by United States Champion Antonio Cesaro, who was once again carrying the American Flag. Antonio then issued a challenge to Del Rio for a Champion vs. Champion Match. Before Del Rio could answer the challenge, NXT Commissioner and WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes came out and said that Del Rio was an honorary guest at NXT. Instead of Del Rio, Dusty Rhodes had Antonio go one-on-one against NXT Champion Big E Langston in a Champion vs. Champion Match (Non-Title) instead. Once again, this was a match where I’m not a fan of either competitor, so it was great seeing them beat the hell out of one another. Since I hate Antonio Cesaro more, I was rooting against him. In the end, Big E Langston got the win by disqualification after being attacked by both Corey Graves and Conor O’Brian to end the program.
