The man born James Hellwig, who legally changed his name to Warrior and wrestled under the name Ultimate Warrior, passed away yesterday, Tuesday April 8, 2014. Warrior had collapsed while walking with his wife from his Arizona hotel to his car. After being transported to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead. A cause of death has not been released. This just doesn’t seem real; four days ago I just saw him get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, then the next night I saw him stand on the stage of WrestleMania 30 with all the other members of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014, then the night before his death, he appeared on Monday Night Raw to address the WWE Universe. I do not get this at all, during his final days that I saw him, he looked just fine. This feels like a nightmare that I could wake up from any second now. I witnessed his two young daughters escort him at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony; I can only imagine how devastated they must be at the moment. Warrior will be deeply missed and while he may be gone from this life on Earth, his legacy will definitely live on forever.
