The year 2014 has officially begun. With that being said, here are some things that I think need to, or at least should, happen in ROH in 2014.
Remove Steve Corino from Commentary
The one current heel commentator in ROH is Steve Corino. Now, while I do not find him as unbearable as the other current heel commentators from the other two respective wrestling companies (John “Bradshaw” Layfield in WWE and Taz and Michael Titus in TNA), he still tends to antagonize his fellow commentators, the faces, and the fans of ROH, defend and sympathize with his fellow heels’ dastardly ways, spew propaganda, and be hypocritical like the other heel commentators from the other two wrestling companies. ROH not only needs to remove Corino from commentary, but also not put any more heels on commentary afterwards. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the fans of ROH have to put up with enough other garbage from the heels.
Get the Women of Honor More Involved
One thing that I have noticed about ROH is that they do not have the Women of Honor competing in that many matches. ROH should not only have more matches between the Women of Honor, but they should also create a Ladies’ Championship so that they can have a championship to fight for. The Men of Honor are always gunning for the ROH World Championship, so I think the Women of Honor should have a Ladies’ Championship that they can gun for.
Give Mark Briscoe A Run as World Champion
The Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark) are, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the greatest tag teams in ROH and wrestling history altogether, if not the greatest. The Briscoes are multiple-time ROH Tag Team Champions, but only one of them has had a run as ROH World Champion and that man was Jay. Both of The Briscoe Brothers have, perhaps, given their blood, sweat, and tears for ROH more than anybody else in history. Therefore, both Briscoes have proven that they belong and are worthy of holding the World Championship. Jay had his run as World Champion, now I think it is Mark’s turn. If/When that happens, The Briscoe Brothers will have made history by becoming the first-ever brother duo to hold the ROH World Championship.
