Supercard of Honor VII: New ROH World Champion

In one match, it was Tadarius Thomas & ACH taking on QT Marshall and a mystery partner. That mystery partner turned out to be QT’s manager RD Evans. Unfortunately, ROHWrestling.com did not post the outcome of this match. Also, Shelton Benjamin was scheduled to go one-on-one with his former friend and tag team partner Charlie Haas, but for some reason, Haas didn’t show up. Shelton then called for ringside attendant Cheeseburger and told Cheeseburger that he respected him for recently standing up to Charlie Haas despite the fact that Cheeseburger is still in training to become a wrestler. They then get interrupted by the returning trio of Mike Bennett, his new fiancee Maria Kanellis, & his trainer “Brutal” Bob Evans. Bennett then started talking smack to Benjamin and Cheeseburger. Then, Cheeseburger gets tired of listening to Bennett and snatches the mic from him and had some very colorful words towards Bennett & Maria. This led to a match between Benjamin and Bennett with Bennett coming out on top. Also, Michael Elgin beat Jay Lethal to become the #1 contender to the ROH World Championship. Finally, in the main event of the night, ROH World Champion and the leader of S.C.U.M. Kevin Steen defended against Jay Briscoe. The match saw various members of S.C.U.M. attempting to interfere in the match, but were thwarted by members of the ROH locker room. At one point, S.C.U.M.’s Matt Hardy attempted to hit Briscoe with his finishing maneuver, the Twist of Fate, but Steen actually refused Hardy’s help. In the end, Briscoe ends up beating Steen to become the new ROH World Champion. After members of the Briscoe family come out to celebrate, Steen surprisingly shakes the hand of Jay Briscoe and hugs some members of the Briscoe family. There have been some uncharacteristic ways from Kevin Steen as of late. Could he be on the verge of quitting his own faction?
