The show began with Jay Bradley coming out to address the fact that OVW Owner “Nightmare” Danny Davis told him that he has to earn his opportunity at the OVW Heavyweight Championship. Bradley then said that he plans on doing that by going through every contender that is in line for an opportunity. After reminding everybody he took #3 in Ryan Howe out last week on OVW TV, he then issued an open challenge to #2 in OVW Television Champion Randy Royal. Randy Royal (accompanied by Tony Gunn) came out and had every intention of denying the challenge, until Gunn would accept on Royal’s behalf. I am not a fan of either one of these guys and I was not sure who to root against in this one. In the end, when Royal attempted to use a chain, Gunn snatched it from him; Bradley then hit Royal with his signature maneuver “The Boomstick” to get the pin and the win in this non-title encounter. I would like to point out that last week on OVW TV, during the match between Royal and Gunn, Royal feigned a heart attack to get the victory over Gunn, thus betraying his trust. My only guess would be that the only reason Gunn is still aligned with Royal is because he’s hoping to set Royal straight. Also, Lei’D Tapa made her first OVW TV appearance when she went one-on-one with Jessie Belle Smothers. I am a fan of both of these ladies and I was not sure who to root for in this one. Regardless, it was Lei’D who came out victorious. Also, Joseph Park made his first OVW TV appearance to announce that Impact Wrestling will be coming to Louisville, Kentucky. He is then interrupted by OVW Southern Tag Team Champions and Coalition members Crimson & Jason Wayne. They then begin to tell lies to Park about Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez in order to get him to use his attorney experiences to get their upcoming championship match against Hayes & Vaez at the Saturday Night Special cancelled. Also, Taeler Hendrix begged Heidi Lovelace to accompany her to the ring for her non-title match against OVW Women’s Champion Trina Thompson, which Heidi agreed to. At one point in the match, Taeler used Heidi as a human shield in order to get the upper hand over Trina. Afterwards, Taeler pinned Trina 1-2-3 by putting her feet on the ring ropes for illegal added leverage. I sure hope Heidi opens her eyes and realizes that Taeler is just using her. Finally, Crimson & Jason Wayne called out Hayes & Vaez so that they could hear an announcement that they had for them. Joseph Park then comes out; just when it looks like Park is going tell Hayes & Vaez that their match for the Saturday Night Special is off, Park then lets Crimson & Wayne know that he knew all along what they really stand for and that not only was the match still on, but it would be a no disqualification match as well. The rest of The Coalition comes out and begin to attack Park, Hayes, and Vaez; fortunately, other members of the OVW locker room come out to thwart them. Then, Park announces that the members of the OVW locker room standing in the ring with him at the moment are also going to be handcuffed to the other members of The Coalition during the tag team match at the Saturday Night Special. Joseph Park certainly pulled one over on The Coalition, it was a beautiful thing.
