OVW TV 3-30-13: Doug Williams Screws Doug Williams

The show began with #1 contender to the OVW Heavyweight Championship Crimson reminding champion Doug Williams about the deal that he and Williams made as far as preventing Jamin Olivencia from becoming the #1 contender to Williams’ championship. That deal was that Crimson could have his championship opportunity at anytime and anywhere and Crimson Told Williams that he wanted his opportunity that night. Doug Williams reluctantly agreed. Also, the 24/7 match between Rudy Switchblade and Jessie Godderz continued and it still continues on as we speak. Also, during Paredyse’s match with Albert E. Baxter II, Brittany DeVore appeared on the titantron and vowed vengeance upon him, Brandon Espinosa, and Chris for the stunt that they had pulled on her the previous week. Despite the minor distraction, Paredyse still managed to defeat Baxter. Also, it was the battle of the rockstars when OVW Television Champion Rockstar Spud defended his championship against “Wrestling’s Rockstar” Ryan Howe. Ever since Rockstar Spud made his first OVW TV appearance, I’ve been waiting for these two rockstars to encounter one another and wondering what would happen between the two. I’m a fan of both of these guys, but I decided to root for Rockstar Spud. During the match, Taeler Hendrix, Dylan Bostic, and Heidi Lovelace each made their presence felt at ringside. At one point, Bostic tripped up Ryan Howe, unbeknownst to the ref, and it allowed Rockstar Spud to get the victory and retain his championship…or so we thought. After realizing what had happened, Rockstar Spud told the ref that he didn’t want to retain his championship like that and that the ref restart the match, which he agreed to. After back and forth action, Rockstar Spud came out on top and retained his championship. Finally, right before the main event for the OVW Heavyweight Championship could begin, Jamin Olivencia comes out with OVW Director of Operations Michael Hayes and the referee from the #1 contenders’ match from last week, Josh Ashcraft. Michael Hayes reminds Doug Williams from two weeks ago of how Williams explained how the rules go; when someone strikes the ref, there should be a disqualification. Two weeks ago, while Jamin Olivencia was celebrating his OVW Heavyweight Championship victory, Doug Williams came out with Michael Hayes and a few referees and told the world that he spoke with the OVW Board of Directors and they agreed with Williams about the fact that since he struck the ref during the match, Williams should have been disqualified. That was the final decision of the Board of Directors and therefore, Williams was still the champion since it can’t change hands on a DQ. No doubt, Williams used this as a loophole so that he would remain champion. This week, Michael Hayes reminded Williams that last week he put his hands on the referee while Olivencia had Crimson pinned during the #1 contenders’ match. Hayes informed Williams that the Board of Directors said that Crimson should have been disqualified. This was the final decision of the Board of Directors; therefore, last week’s match goes in the record books with Jamin Olivencia winning the match by DQ and becoming the #1 contender to Williams’ championship. The match will take place at the April 6, 2013 Saturday Night Special. Well, it seems as though Doug Williams’ weaseling ways have come back to bite him in the ass and I love it. Bottom line, Doug screwed Doug.
