Last year, IMPACT! Wrestling created a new championship called the IMPACT! Grand Championship. What separates this championship from the other championships in IMPACT! Wrestling is that every time the championship is on the line, the match can go up to three rounds. If each round reaches the time limit, then ringside judges determine who has the most points and whoever has the most at the end of all three rounds walks away the winner and with the championship; however, if a pinfall or submission were to be made by any one of the two competitors at anytime during any of the three rounds, then that competitor would win the match and walk out as champion right then and there. A lot of times, I have heard people say that the outcome of the match should not be determined by judges, but rather by pinfall or submission and I completely agree. If IMPACT! Wrestling wants to separate this championship from all of their other ones, then I think the best way to do that is by making every IMPACT! Grand Championship Match a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match. IMPACT! Wrestling has been using the slogan “Make IMPACT! Great.” Well, I truly believe that if every IMPACT! Grand Championship Match was a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match, then it would make the championship and the company altogether great.
