10-Diva Tag Team Match
The Total Divas (Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, Paige, Natalya and Eva Marie) vs. B.A.D. & Blonde (Lana, Team B.A.D. (Naomi & Tamina), Emma and Summer Rae)
For the past few weeks, Lana has been targeting current stars from WWE’s hit reality series “Total Divas”. During the process, Team B.A.D. joined Lana in her crusade. This led to “Total Divas” stars Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, Paige and Natalya issuing a WrestleMania challenge to Lana and Team B.A.D. Lana and Team B.A.D. then recruited Emma and then Summer Rae convinced Lana to have the two of them put their negative past behind them and allow her to join the crusade. These five divas have been deemed “B.A.D. & Blonde” because Lana, Emma and Summer Rae are blondes and I think everybody already knows the answer to the “B.A.D.” portion of the team name. This left the stars of “Total Divas” one team member short for WrestleMania. That all changed, however, when fellow “Total Divas” star Eva Marie came into the picture to even the odds. Unfortunately, Eva’s fellow cast members do not look at her as a trustworthy person, but nonetheless have begrudgingly made her the fifth diva to their team. I agree with the fact that Eva is not trustworthy because unlike her, all of her WrestleMania partners are faces. The problem is that the other three stars of “Total Divas” have some bigger flaws than Eva does at the moment. For instance, Nikki Bella, who is a face, is recovering from a neck injury. Then, there is Rosa Mendes, who is also a face, currently recovering from her pregnancy after giving birth to her baby girl. Finally, Mandy Rose, in addition to being a heel, has yet to have her first official match in her career as well. Bottom line, The Total Divas are settling for Eva Marie. Despite all of this, I still think that The Total Divas will come out on top at WrestleMania. This will not only be Lana’s first WrestleMania match, but also the first official match of her career. I would also like to point out that I will be rooting for Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, Paige and Natalya; however, when it comes to Eva Marie, I will just be rooting against B.A.D. & Blonde.
The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & D-Von)
This rivalry all started when The Usos teamed up with The Dudleys in a tag team match. The good news is that they won the match; the bad news is that after the match, The Dudleys shocked the world by attacking The Usos, thus turning heel in the process. The Dudleys claim that they feel that they are being defined by the tables that they have used as weapons throughout their legendary careers and that they are sick and tired of it. The Usos, however, are refusing to be made examples of and are out for retribution. At WrestleMania, I think that The Usos will get arguably the biggest victory of their careers when they knock off The Dudleys.
United States Championship Match
Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback
Ryback recently shocked the world when he walked out on his tag team partners Kane and Big Show during a match. He then explained that he is no longer going to be teaming with anybody because he feels that only working alone will get him somewhere. This turned Ryback into a heel. Then, Ryback set his sights on Kalisto and his U.S. Championship. Ryback issued a WrestleMania challenge to Kalisto, which Kalisto has accepted. Ryback claims that size does matter, but Kalisto has been proving otherwise ever since he won the championship for a second time. I would also like to point out that before Ryback turned heel, he and Kalisto went one-on-one in a match and not only was Kalisto victorious, but Ryback also shook his hand after the match as well. This just goes to show that a lot has changed since then. Despite all of this, I am still convinced that Kalisto will once again beat Ryback and retain his championship at WrestleMania. It would also be great if Ryback once again shook Kalisto’s hand and turned face in the process because Ryback is one of those guys who I really love to cheer for. This will also be Kalisto’s first WrestleMania match.
Pay-Per-View Matches
The 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
This is a match that has become a WrestleMania tradition; a Battle Royal is held in honor of the late, great WWE Hall of Famer Andre the Giant, who was known for ruling in Battle Royals throughout his legendary career. In the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, numerous Superstars compete inside the ring at the same time; the only way to be eliminated is by going over the top rope and both feet hitting the floor. Whichever Superstar is the last man standing in the ring will win the match and receive the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy. Thus far, the following Superstars have declared that they will be entering this year’s edition of the Battle Royal:
- Heath Slater
- Curtis Axel
- Adam Rose
- Bo Dallas
- Big Show
- Kane
- Tyler Breeze
- Mark Henry
- Jack Swagger
- Fandango
- Damien Sandow
- Darren Young
- Konnor
- Viktor
- Goldust
- R-Truth
Out of all the Superstars listed above, I think that I am going to root for Fandango to win, since he has never held a major championship/title from WWE. As long as a face wins, I will be satisfied. This will also be Tyler Breeze’s first WrestleMania match.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The New Day (Xavier Woods/Kofi Kingston/Big E) (c) vs. The League of Nations (Sheamus/Bad News Barrett/Rusev/Alberto Del Rio)
These two factions have been at each others’ throats for weeks now. At one point during this rivalry, The New Day has turned face, which is good because like I have said before and I will say it again; Kofi Kingston is not fit to be a heel. There is one question going into this match; which two members of the two respective factions will be competing in the match? With The New Day, they use the “Freebird Rule”, which means that any two members of the team can defend the championships. I am hoping that it will be Kofi Kingston & Big E in the match at WrestleMania. As far as The League of Nations, it was indicated that Sheamus might possibly be one of the members of his team who competes in the match when he recently appeared on TBS talk show “Conan”. It does not make any difference to me which two members of The League of Nations will be competing in the match because I will be rooting against them and rooting for The New Day. The New Day has held the championships since last year’s SummerSlam and I think that their reign will continue after they beat The League of Nations at WrestleMania.
Triple Threat WWE Divas Championship Match
Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks
In the first #1 Contenders’ Match between Becky and Sasha to determine who would face Charlotte for her championship at WrestleMania, the match ended with both competitors’ shoulders being pinned to the mat; therefore, resulting in a draw. In the #1 Contenders’ Rematch, Charlotte intentionally got both women disqualified in hopes of weaseling her way out of having to defend her championship against either one of them; however, the plan backfired when it was announced that the match would be a Triple Threat Match. All three of these women will be competing in their first-ever WrestleMania match. I will be rooting for Becky Lynch since she has never held a championship throughout her career, but as long as Charlotte does not walk out as champion, then I will be satisfied. These are three women who revolutionized not only WWE’s developmental system NXT, but also the entire WWE Divas’ Division. It should also be noted that these three women come from WWE’s hottest new backstage faction (as opposed to a storyline faction) called “The Four Horsewomen”, which also consists of current NXT Diva Bayley. As stated above, The Four Horsewomen have revolutionized both NXT and the entire Divas’ Division. The only thing that would make this match even better is if Bayley was added to it and it would become a Fatal 4-Way Match for the Divas Championship; it would also be Bayley’s first WrestleMania match as well.
7-Man Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Sin Cara vs. Sami Zayn vs. Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Stardust vs. The Miz
In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, IC Champion Kevin Owens has been boasting about turning WrestleMania into “KOMania”. Yet, when Superstars like Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz stepped up to challenge Owens for his championship at WrestleMania, Owens did not seem in any hurry to accept. On a recent edition of Monday Night Raw, Owens told the three potential challengers that he would arrange for a Triple Threat Match to take place that night to determine who would become the #1 contender to his championship. Just when everybody thought that Owens was referring to Zayn, Ziggler and Miz, Owens, however, found a loop hole in his statement that he made earlier by arranging for Sin Cara, Zack Ryder and Stardust to be in the Triple Threat Match instead of Zayn, Ziggler and Miz. This did not sit well with Zayn, Ziggler or Miz, so while Owens was at ringside during the Triple Threat Match, the three Superstars came out to confront Owens. This eventually led to chaos between Owens and the other six superstars at ringside, which resulted in the match ending in a no contest. Later that night, despite protests from Owens, WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon decided that Owens will defend his championship against all six Superstars in a 7-Man Ladder Match at WrestleMania. In this match, there are no pinfalls, submissions, countouts or disqualifications; the only way to win and walk out as champion is by setting a ladder up inside the ring, climbing up the ladder and retrieving the IC Championship Belt hanging from above. Since Sin Cara has never held a major championship throughout his career, I will be rooting for him to win. As long as a face wins, then I will be satisfied. This will mark the second year in a row that this exact same type of IC Championship Match will take place at WrestleMania. I hope that this becomes a WrestleMania tradition because last year’s match really rocked the house and I think that it will be no different this year. This will also be Sami Zayn’s first WrestleMania match.
AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho
Ever since AJ Styles made his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble event back in January, he and Chris Jericho have went one-on-one in a total of three matches with Jericho winning one and Styles winning two. Both men had gained mutual respect for one another and decided to become tag team partners. This, however, was short-lived when after coming up short at an opportunity at the WWE Tag Team Championships, Jericho shocked the world when he attacked Styles, thus turning heel in the process. Ever since Styles arrived in WWE, the WWE Universe has been chanting his name nonstop and it has rubbed Jericho the wrong way. Styles would then go on to issue a WrestleMania challenge to Jericho, which he eventually accepted. Unlike the last three times these two went one-on-one; there will be a lot of bad blood between the two combatants in round 4 of their classic matches against one another. I think that AJ Styles will prevail once more over Jericho at WrestleMania. This will also mark the first WrestleMania match for AJ Styles as well.
No Holds Barred Street Fight
Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
Most people never try to provoke Lesnar, but Ambrose is not like most people. Every time that Lesnar gives any sort of beating to Ambrose, Ambrose just keeps coming back for more. Ambrose took it one step further when he decided to challenge Lesnar to a No Holds Barred Street Fight at WrestleMania, which Lesnar has accepted. While Lesnar is one of, if not the, most brutal force in WWE, Ambrose is a guy who has a high tolerance for pain and will not stay down. Therefore, I think that Ambrose will pull off the ultimate miracle and slay The Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania. This will be the first main event of the night.
Hell in a Cell Match
Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker
Shane McMahon shocked the world when he made his surprise return to WWE, including his father and WWE Chairman and CEO Vincent K. McMahon, as well as Shane’s younger sister Stephanie. Shane told Stephanie that he feels that she and her husband, WWE Chief Operating Officer and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H have been running WWE into the ground. Shane then told his father that he wants control of Monday Night Raw to ensure the future of WWE. Mr. McMahon told Shane that he will get full control of Raw only if he is able to beat The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell Match at WrestleMania, which Shane agreed to. As for The Undertaker, he made it clear to Mr. McMahon that his son’s blood will be on his hands and not The Undertaker’s, which indicates that The Undertaker will be doing nobody’s bidding at WrestleMania. Mr. McMahon told the world that if Shane loses, then he will not only have to surrender a lock box of family secrets to his father, but Mr. McMahon will also write Shane out of his will – leaving everything to Stephanie – and disown Shane. Mr. McMahon also decided that if The Undertaker loses, then this will be The Undertaker’s final WrestleMania match. Since it means taking all the power away from The McMahon Family and The Authority, I will be rooting for Shane to win. As far as The Undertaker, he has nothing left to prove at WrestleMania because he has competed in more WrestleMania matches than anybody in history and we know that he will at least not be fired from WWE altogether. Both Shane and The Undertaker have had great success at WrestleMania; Shane is 2-0 and The Undertaker is 22-1. This means that either Shane’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania will come to an end or The Undertaker will suffer his second WrestleMania loss in history. This will be the second main event of the night.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns
For the past few months, these two men have been at one another’s throats. The McMahon Family and The Authority have been doing everything in their power to keep the WWE World Heavyweight Championship out of Reigns’ hands. Reigns has made it his mission to not only regain the championship, but to take down The McMahon Family and The Authority as well. At WrestleMania, it will all come to a head when Triple H defends against Reigns. In the end, I think that Reigns will win his third WWE World Heavyweight Championship and The McMahon Family’s and The Authority’s reign of terror will come to an end once and for all. This will be the final main event of the night.
