The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
Every time that The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar have gone one-on-one, Lesnar has always come out on top; however, the most significant victory that Lesnar owns over The Undertaker took place at WrestleMania 30. After going undefeated at WrestleMania for over two decades, The Undertaker’s streak was put to an end by Lesnar when he chalked up Undertaker’s first-ever loss at WrestleMania, bringing Undertaker’s WrestleMania win-loss record to 21-1. Since then, The Undertaker chalked up another win at WrestleMania 31 earlier this year, bringing the win-loss record to 22-1. After being away since then, The Undertaker finally made his return at Battleground last month and cost Lesnar the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Undertaker explained that while he accepts the fact that streaks are made to be broken, he is done standing by listening to Lesnar and perhaps even more so, his advocate Paul Heyman, endlessly gloat about breaking the streak. It all comes down to this in the main event of this year’s SummerSlam when Undertaker and Lesnar go at it once again. This time however, unlike their previous matches, The Undertaker will finally conquer The Beast Incarnate.
Champion vs. Champion, Winner Takes All Match
WWE Champion Seth Rollins vs. United States Champion John Cena
At WrestleMania 31 earlier this year, both men won their respective championships and have held them ever since. While Cena has welcomed all challengers with his “United States Championship Open Challenge”, Rollins, on the other hand, has done everything he possibly could to avoid any challengers that he saw as a threat to his championship reign. Eventually, Cena came face-to-face with Rollins and told him that “the championship doesn’t make the man, the man makes the championship”. This lead to Rollins answering Cena’s “U.S. Open Challenge”; during the match, Rollins delivered a knee to Cena’s face, which ended up shattering Cena’s nose. Yet despite all that, Cena still managed to defeat Rollins and retain his championship. Cena would end up having surgery to repair his damaged nose. Shortly after that, Rollins went on to challenge Cena to a “Champion vs. Champion, Winner Takes All Match” at SummerSlam, which Cena accepted. In the other main event of this year’s SummerSlam, one of these men will become the first man in history to hold both of these championships simultaneously and that man will be John Cena.
Randy Orton vs. Mr. Money in the Bank Sheamus
These two men have a long history with one another. They have been at each others’ throats for the past few months. Recently, both men cost one another the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. First, just when Orton was about to beat Seth Rollins and win the championship, Sheamus attacks Orton, causing Orton to win the match by disqualification; which means that the championship does not change hands. Immediately following, Sheamus hits Rollins with a Brogue Kick and is about to cash in his Money in the Bank contract for an opportunity at the championship; however, before the match can start, Orton hits Sheamus with an RKO. Now, it all comes to a head in a rematch from SummerSlam in 2010. Just like last month at Battleground, Orton will beat Sheamus.
Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens
For weeks now, these two hard-hitting men have been getting in each others’ way of attaining their goals. It is clear that neither one of these men will attain any of their goals until they get past one another. At SummerSlam, Cesaro will finally get past Owens when he comes out victorious.
Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper)
Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt have been going at it ever since Wyatt prevented Reigns from becoming Mr. Money in the Bank. Last month when these two went one-on-one at Battleground, Wyatt got an assist from an old ally in Luke Harper, who helped Wyatt get the victory over Reigns. Since it was clear that The Wyatt Family was back together, Roman decided to recruit his brother-in-arms, Dean Ambrose. At SummerSlam, in a match that is being dubbed “Family vs. Family”, Reigns & Ambrose will show that their bond is much stronger when they knock off The Wyatt Family.
Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship Match
Ryback (c) vs. The Miz vs. Big Show
This match was originally scheduled to take place at Battleground last month; however, due to a staph infection, Ryback was not medically cleared to compete. During Ryback’s time away, both Miz and Big Show have been staking their respective claims as Intercontinental Champion. Now that Ryback is back, he is very hungry and at SummerSlam, he will devour his two opponents when he walks away from this match still the Intercontinental Champion.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev
After Rusev had dumped Lana, she had shifted her affections towards Dolph Ziggler, which did not sit well with Rusev. Eventually, Summer Rae had offered her services to Rusev, which he would accept. One night on Raw, Rusev, who appeared to still be healing from a recent ankle injury, and Summer set a trap for the new couple when Rusev would attack Ziggler’s throat with his crutch, revealing that Rusev was in fact healed from his injury. This ended up putting Ziggler on the shelf for a month. While Ziggler was away, Rusev and Summer took this time to humiliate Lana every opportunity they got, which included Rusev having Summer dress exactly like Lana. Finally, Ziggler and Lana repaid the favor by setting a trap of their own for the dastardly couple when Ziggler made his surprise return. At Summerslam, Ziggler will be looking to make Rusev pay for putting him out of action. Ziggler will do just that when he conquers The Bulgarian Brute.
Neville and Stephen Amell vs. Stardust & 2015 King of the Ring Bad News Barrett
This all started when Stardust got in the face of Stephen Amell, who plays The Green Arrow on the hit TV show “Arrow” and was in attendance at Raw one night. Stardust seemed to be convinced that Amell was actually The Green Arrow. This led to a lengthy Twitter war between the two. Later, Stardust started setting his sights on Neville, whom Stardust declares a superhero. Then, one night on Raw after Neville beat Bad News Barrett in a match; Stardust not only attacked Neville, but also got physical with Amell, who was once again in attendance at Raw. Amell ended up retaliating; this led to Neville and Amell demanding a tag team match against Stardust & Barrett at SummerSlam, which WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H eventually agreed to. Stardust and Barrett fancy themselves as super villains and at SummerSlam, they will fall to the so-called superheroes.
Triple Threat 9-Diva Tag Team Elimination Match
Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte & Becky Lynch) vs. Team B.A.D. (Naomi, Tamina Snuka & Sasha Banks) vs. Team Bella (The Bella Twins (WWE Divas Champion Nikki & Brie) & Alicia Fox)
The war between these three factions has been dubbed the “Divas Revolution”. All of this started when Paige got fed up with The Bellas’ same old tactics. Paige wanted change in the Divas Division; after unsuccessfully persuading the other divas to join her cause, Alicia Fox would align herself with The Bellas. Then, WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon stated that she wanted change in the Divas Division as well. This led to Stephanie bringing three of NXT’s top divas up to the main roster. First, there was former NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte and Becky Lynch, who would align themselves with Paige. Then, there was current NXT Women’s Champion at the time, Sasha Banks, who would align herself with Naomi & Tamina. The rules of this match at SummerSlam are that each member from each team must be eliminated and whichever team has at least one diva left standing in the end will be victorious. All three members of Team PCB will survive and come out victorious in a clean sweep.
Fatal 4-Way WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O’Neil) (c) vs. The Lucha Dragons (Kalisto & Sin Cara) vs. Los Matadores (Diego & Fernando) vs. The New Day (Xavier Woods/Kofi Kingston/Big E)
At SummerSlam, WWE Tag Team Champions The Prime Time Players will have their toughest championship defense to date when they defend against three of WWE’s top tag teams. Whichever team gains the first pinfall/submission will walk out as WWE Tag Team Champions. No disrespect to The Prime Time Players, but The Lucha Dragons will be walking out as the brand new WWE Tag Team Champions.
I like all of the predictive outcomes except I would like to see the Prime Time Players retain their championship.
