OVW TV 5-4-13: OVW Takes A Stand Against The Coalition

The show began with OVW Director of Operations Michael Hayes putting together a Six-Man Tag Team Main Event for the evening between the team of Rudy Switchblade and The Mobile Homers (Adam Revolver & Ted McNaler) against any three members of The Coalition. Hayes then announces that he’ll have members of the OVW locker room surrounding walkways and doorways, so that other members of The Coalition won’t interfere in the match. Also, after defeating Jessie Belle Smothers in a non-title match earlier in the night, OVW Women’s Champion Trina is approached backstage by Eddie Diamond & Timmy Danger and Eddie pleads with Trina to give Eddie’s girlfriend Epiphany a rematch for the championship. Trina agrees to it, but only because she says she’s a fighting champion. Also, Heidi Lovelace calls out Taeler Hendrix to set the record straight about the gifts that she has been sending to Taeler for the past couple of months. Heidi then tells Taeler that Dylan Bostic doesn’t care about her, Ryan Howe doesn’t care about her, but that she does. Taeler responds by telling Heidi that she needs time to figure out what all of this means before walking off. To be honest, I don’t really know what this means either; we’re definitely going to need more insight on this. Also, after OVW Television Champion Rockstar Spud successfully defends his championship by beating Jessie Godderz, Randy Royal & Tony Gunn come out. Royal then shoves Spud to the mat and tells him that next week on OVW TV, he’ll be defending his championship against him and that he better be ready for the fight of his life. Finally, it was the Six-Man Tag Team Match between the team of Rudy Switchblade and The Mobile Homers (accompanied by Brittany DeVore) against Coalition members Crimson, Jason Wayne, & Joe Coleman. Throughout most of the match, Switchblade and The Mobile Homers really took it to The Coalition, while the rest of the OVW locker room were keeping their eyes out for the other members of The Coalition. Eventually though, members of The Coalition emerge from underneath the ring and start attacking Switchblade and The Mobile Homers, leading to a disqualification win for them. The other members of the OVW locker room then come in and try to stop The Coalition, but The Coalition disposes of them all. Michael Hayes then comes out and just when it looks like Hayes is about to fight all the members of The Coalition by himself, all of sudden, The Coalition’s mascot, if you will, reveals himself to actually be Sam Shaw. I’m assuming that Shaw took out whoever is The Coalition’s mascot and stole the outfit from him. Shaw and the other members of the OVW locker room then clear The Coalition from the ring. Michael Hayes then announces that at the May 11 Saturday Night Special, Sam Shaw will go one-on-one with Jason Wayne. Hayes then adds that to assure that there are no shenanigans from The Coalition, he will be the special guest referee for the match. Finally, it appears that The Coalition are getting their long-awaited and way-overdue comeuppance, I couldn’t be more pleased right now.
