The show began with a security camera showing Jamin Olivencia arriving outside the arena. Then, out of nowhere, a truck nearly runs over him. Also, while OVW Director of Operations Michael Hayes is addressing the fans, he is interrupted by The Coalition. Just as The Coalition is about to attack Hayes, OVW Southern Tag Team Champions The Gut Checkers come to his aid. The Gut Checkers then tell Coalition members Crimson & Jason Wayne that they will put their championships on the line in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match. Michael Hayes makes the match official and bans the other members of The Coalition from ringside. However, just before the match officially begins, the other members of The Coalition come back out and attack The Gut Checkers. During the melee, one half of The Gut Checkers, Alex Silva, appears to get his head rammed quite hard into the ring post. Then, Michael Hayes comes back out and tells the other members of The Coalition that they are banned from the arena altogether. Afterwards, despite Alex Silva being completely out of it, the referee officially begins the match. The Coalition get the easy first fall; then, they figure they have all the time in the world, so they decide to do some showboating. However, after they go for the second fall, Alex Silva somehow manages to kick out. Towards the end of the match, Sam Shaw makes the tag to Silva and Silva starts cleaning house; all of a sudden, Silva then collapses onto the mat. The Coalition take full advantage and finish off Silva to become the new champions. After the match is over, numerous members of the OVW locker room tend to Silva. The state of Silva’s well-being remains unclear at this time. Also, after a month of Rudy Switchblade and Jessie Godderz having their 24/7 match, Michael Hayes announces that things between the two will be settled once and for all at the upcoming Saturday Night Special when they go one-on-one. And Hayes says that to assure that their match ends inside the ring, members of the OVW locker room will be surrounding ringside. Hayes also stated that until that match happens, Switchblade and Godderz are not allowed to touch one another. Also, OVW Heavyweight Champion Doug Williams comes out and tells Jamin Olivencia to watch out because one accident can cost him everything and then Williams claims he wants Olivencia 100% for their championship match at the Saturday Night Special. With that being said, I began to wonder if Williams had anything to do with Olivencia nearly getting run over at the start of the show. It became clear that Williams did have something to do with it when there were other times throughout the show that Olivenica nearly got hit be numerous objects. Also, Brittany DeVore vowed to take down Paredyse at the Saturday Night Special. Another championship match that took place was an OVW Television Champion between champion Rockstar Spud and challenger Cliff Compton. After Spud beat Compton to retain, Compton gave Spud a post-match attack. Later on backstage, Spud confronted Compton for the attack. Spud says he’ll give Compton another opportunity at his championship next week and Michael Hayes books the match. Finally, Jamin Olivencia calls out Doug Williams for all of his attempts to take him out before the Saturday Night Special. Williams denies that he had anything to do with Olivencia’s near-disaster experiences, but Olivencia isn’t buying into it and goes on the attack. Members of the OVW locker room come out to try and separate the two. During the melee, Williams takes advantage and clocks Olivencia with his championship to end the program. It’s obvious that Williams wants no part of Olivencia, but come the Saturday Night Special, Williams is gonna have to deal with Olivencia. I think this time Olivencia will win the championship and Williams won’t be able to get the belt off of Olivencia by any technicality whatsoever.
