Impact Wrestling 3-28-13: The Issues Continue

It was Open Fight Night on this edition of Impact Wrestling, meaning that anyone could call anyone out and that person would have to answer. Right before Jeff Hardy could call someone out, he was interrupted by Aces & Eights. Then, Aces & Eights member Mr. Anderson started to talk smack to Hardy, which led to physicality between Aces & Eights and members of the TNA locker room. After the dust had settled, Jeff Hardy had challenged Anderson to a match later on in the main event. Speaking of Jeff Hardy, General Manager Hulk Hogan told Hardy that he could choose the stipulation for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship match when Hardy challenges champion and President of Aces & Eights Bully Ray in two weeks on Impact Wrestling. Also, Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez called out Bad Influnce and annouced that Hulk Hogan said that whichever team got the win would be the #1 contenders to TNA World Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode & Austin Aries. Chavo & Hernandez got the win, thus becoming the #1 contenders. Also, after security prevented TNA Hall of Famer Sting from entering Hogan’s office, Sting decided to call out Hogan. Hogan answered the challenge and Sting once again tried to convince Hogan to allow him to fix the mess he played a part in getting TNA into, but once again, Hogan still has yet to regain his confidence in Sting and told Sting to leave “his” ring. However, Sting was beginning to lose his patience and told Hogan to make him leave. Before anything could happen, security escorted Sting out of the arena. Right before Sting headed to the back, he told Hogan, “Soon enough Hulk, soon enough”. This tells me that Sting is convinced that he will get through to Hogan sooner rather than later. I certainly hope he does because Hulk is letting Aces & Eights win by ousting Sting. Also, Taryn Terrell called out Gail Kim. Gail Kim answered the challenge; however, Gail claimed that she was looking to call her out, only with Tara by her side. Tara comes out and she and Gail then start to gang up on Taryn. Fortunately, TNA Knockout Women’s Champion Velvet Sky comes to even the odds for Taryn. Later on backstage, while Velvet and Taryn are being interviewed, Taryn sees Gail and Tara walking by and Taryn goes after Gail. Velvet and Tara then try to pull the two apart. It’s clear that things are just getting started between these four women. Also, James Storm called out AJ Styles. AJ Styles was sighted in the crowd. Storm told AJ that he feels where he’s coming from as far as having a downward spiral because Storm had one himself last year. Storm told AJ that instead of just giving up on everybody and everything, he picked himself back up and got back in the ring to fight like a true champion and he told AJ that he needs to do the same. After Storm tried to talk some sense into AJ, Aces & Eights came out of nowhere and attacked Storm. AJ looked on for a few seconds and then took off. Fortunately, Kurt Angle and TNA Knockout Women’s Tag Team Champion Eric Young (you heard me right, it’s a long story) came to Storm’s aid. Then, Angle, Young, and Storm challenged Aces & Eights members D.O.C., Garett Bischoff, and Wes Brisco to a six-man tag team match. Thanks to outside interference from the VP of Aces & Eights D’Lo Brown, Aces & Eights got the victory. Finally, in the main event between Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson, other members of Aces & Eights tried to help Anderson by throwing him a hammer to use on Hardy; however, Hardy caught Anderson and used the hammer on Anderson, which got Hardy disqualified, but Hardy didn’t seem to care all that much because he began to dismantle members of Aces & Eights with numerous weapons. In the end, Hardy told Bully Ray that the stipulation for their upcoming championship match will be Full Metal Mayhem. After this week’s edition of Impact Wrestling, it appears that the issues between everybody continue and are far from settled.
