The show began with Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett going one-on-one with R-Truth in a non-title match. After Barrett beat R-Truth, he got into a confrontation with commentator The Miz. The Miz ended up running Barrett off. It’s pretty clear that things aren’t settled between these two. Also, Josh Mathews interviewed Sheamus about the possibility of Big Show being his and Randy Orton’s tag team partner against The Shield at WrestleMania 29. Sheamus said that he was not going to speak for Randy Orton and I think he basically indicated that he’s not too sure about having Big Show as his partner. Personally, while I definitely think Big Show has all the tools in the world to stop The Shield, I just don’t think he is a trustworthy guy. Therefore, I think Orton and Sheamus need to choose a guy who is trustworthy. In the first tag team match of the night, it was Natalya teaming up with Layla to take the team of Alicia Fox & Aksana. Right before the match started, Alicia Fox got on the mic and took shots at Natalya’s boyfriend, The Great Khali. Natalya made Alicia Fox eat her words by forcing her to tap out to her finisher, The Sharpshooter, to get the win for herself and Layla. In the second tag team match of the night, as well as the main event, The Usos took on The Primetime Players. The Usos ended up coming out on top.
