As many people know, the Women’s Evolution in WWE continues to grow. Personally, I think another great way for it to grow would be for WWE to create both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Tag Team Championships because there are currently quite a few tag teams in the Women’s Division. A lot of people may not remember, but from the early to late ‘80s, WWE had the Women’s World Tag Team Championship and it was held by the following tag teams:
- Velvet McIntyre & Princess Victoria
- Velvet McIntyre & Desiree Peterson
- The Glamour Girls (Judy Martin & Leilani Kai)
- Jumping Bomb Angels (Noriyo Tateno & Itsuki Yamazaki)
The current women’s tag teams for Raw consist of:
- Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection (Sasha Banks & Bayley)
- Alexa Bliss & Mickie James
- The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan)
- Natalya & Ronda Rousey
The current women’s tag teams for SmackDown LIVE consist of:
- Tea-Generation X (Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch)
- The IIconics (Billie Kay & Peyton Royce)
- The Bella Twins (Nikki & Free Agent Brie)
- Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville
I sure hope WWE seriously considers making this a reality because I see great potential for it.
