A few years ago, WWE released two 5-disc DVD sets of every single Survivor Series event in history, which was titled “WWE Survivor Series Anthology”. The first DVD set was from 1987-1991 and the second DVD set was from 1992-1996. Since then, WWE has not released any more anthology DVD sets of the Survivor Series events that took place. The one question on my mind is, “What’s up with that?” I already own the WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam anthology DVD sets. When these DVD sets were released during its respective years, every single event from the year it debuted to the most recent year was featured on the DVD sets. This allowed me to add to the collection of these events by getting the DVD sets of the events that followed in the next years that were not featured on the anthology sets. With the Survivor Series anthology DVD sets, however, WWE has just stopped at the year 1996. In order for me to add to the Survivor Series collection, WWE is going to have to produce more of the Survivor Series events up to the most recent year, like they did with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam. I do not understand why they stopped at 1996, but they better start making more anthology DVD sets of the Survivor Series events soon because I already own every single WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam event in history and I really want to do the same with Survivor Series.
