I was in attendance at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan for this edition of Superstars. First, R-Truth went one-on-one with one-half of The Prime Time Players Darren Young (accompanied by the other half of The Prime Time Players Titus O’Neil). In the end, despite attempted interference from O’Neil, R-Truth was able to defeat Young. Also, in the main event, the team of Natalya Neidhart and Layla El faced The Funkadactyls (Naomi & Cameron Lynn). I am a fan of all these women and I was not sure which team to root for in this one. At one point in the match, things started to get a little intense between Natalya and Cameron, with their respective tag team partners stepping in and attempting to settle things down a bit. In the end, it was Natalya and Layla who emerged victorious. I would also like to point out that this was Matt Striker’s last show in WWE because his contract had expired on this day and WWE had decided not to renew his contract.
