On the final edition of Impact Wrestling from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida, Kurt Angle intended to reveal the identity of the VP of Aces & Eights; however, before he could, he got into a brawl with Aces & Eights member Wes Brisco. TNA Agents Al Snow, Pat Kenney, and D’Lo Brown came out to try and separate the two. During the melee, D’Lo Brown shocked the TNA Fans when he low blowed Kurt Angle. Afterwards, D’Lo revealed himself as the VP of Aces & Eights, thus turning heel (bad guy) in the process. Also on the show, there were three Lethal Lockdown Advantage matches between members of both Team TNA and Aces & Eights. The first match was between the two respective team captains in TNA Hall of Famer Sting and TNA Television Champion Devon in a non-title match. Thanks to outside interference from a fan (for reasons unknown) Devon was able to get the victory to get a 1-0 lead for Aces & Eights over Team TNA. The next match was between Team TNA’s Samoa Joe & Magnus against Aces & Eights’ D.O.C. & Garett Bischoff with Joe & Magnus getting the victory and tying with Aces & Eights 1-1. The final match was between Team TNA’s James Storm and Aces & Eights’ Mr. Anderson. Thanks to some outside interference from other members of Aces & Eights, Anderson got the victory thus giving Aces & Eights the advantage in Lethal Lockdown at Lockdown this Sunday. Also on the broadcast, it was the Gut Check decision for contestants Lei’d Tapa and Ivelisse Velez. We also found out that Taz has been relieved of his duties as one of the Gut Check Judges due to his membership of Aces & Eights. Replacing Taz was TNA Developmental System OVW Owner “Nightmare” Danny Davis, who joined other judges Al Snow and Bruce Prichard. The judges decided to first eliminate Ivelisse Velez with Lei’d Tapa advancing to get an opportunity to earn a TNA contract. Lei’d entered the Impact Zone to boos from the TNA Fans (don’t know why) to get her Gut Check. She needed at least two “Yeses” or two “Nos” from the judges to determine her fate. Danny Davis voted “Yes” and Bruce Prichard voted “No”. Final judge Al Snow told Lei’d that he noticed the rise that she had gotten out of the crowd and it impressed him enough to vote “Yes”; therefore, Lei’d Tapa earned herself a TNA contract. Also, TNA once again attempted to get an update on AJ Styles from his hometown of Gainesville, Georgia, but AJ Once again refused to comment; however, he sent in a tweet saying that he will be at next week’s Impact Wrestling. The show ended with the returning General Manager Hulk Hogan, who was on crutches after having knee surgery, wishing luck to both TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy and #1 contender and Hulk’s son-in-law (just in the storyline, I think) Bully Ray this Sunday in their Cage Match for the championship at Lockdown. The show ended with Bully Ray, Hardy, and other members of the TNA locker room brawling with Aces & Eights. On a more personal note, I’m glad that Taz has been relieved of his duties as a Gut Check Judge, now he just needs to be relieved of his duties as a color commentator. Next week, Impact Wrestling goes on the road permanently, beginning in Chicago, Illinois.
