My Hopes for WWE in 2018

New WWE Logo

  1. WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, CM Punk, Kelly Kelly, Batista, Goldberg and The Hurricane return to WWE.

  1. War Games Match between The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns), The New Day (Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston & Big E) and The Club (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson)

  1. NXT Superstars Drew McIntyre and Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) (w/ WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering) get moved up to the main roster, as well as NXT announcers Mauro Ranallo and Percy Watson.

  1. Heel announcers (i.e., Corey Graves, JBL and Marcelo Rodriguez) are relieved of their announcing duties. All they ever do is hog all the attention, when the attention is supposed to be on what is going on inside the ring, as well as talk smack about the Superstars and they seem to get off scot-free every single time for doing so. I get that wrestling needs heels, but I think it can do just fine without heel announcers.

  1. Zack Ryder regains the United States Championship and has a lengthy reign with the Championship. The same can be said about Sasha Banks regaining the Raw Women’s Championship.

  1. Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight & Otis Dozovic) or The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) become the brand new NXT Tag Team Champions.

  1. Kofi Kingston becomes the brand new WWE Champion.

  1. The Rock vs. Randy Orton for the first time ever in a dream match between, arguably, the two greatest 3rd Generation Superstars in WWE history.

  1. Brie Bella wins either the Raw or SmackDown Women’s Championship.

  1. Jeff Hardy introduces WWE to his alter ego Willow.

  1. The Miz gets banned from using Daniel Bryan’s wrestling moves. Daniel Bryan is an icon and the right person needs to carry on his wrestling moves. That person is not The Miz because he does them out of spite.

  1. Natalya gets banned from referring to herself as “The Best There Is, The Best There Was and The Best There Ever Will Be”. That moniker will always belong to her WWE Hall of Fame uncle Bret “The Hitman” Hart. It would be disrespectful enough that someone else tries to steal that moniker from him, but the fact that one of his own family members is doing it, that is just messed up. Natalya needs to be more original.

  1. Lana stops pretending to be Russian. She refers to herself as “The Ravishing Russian”; she can definitely still refer to herself as ravishing, but she needs to take the name Russian out. Kofi Kingston stopped pretending to be Jamaican, so why can’t Lana stop pretending to be Russian?

  1. The Undertaker competes in more matches.

  1. John Cena vs. Samoa Joe in a dream match between two Superstars who trained in the same wrestling school together, but have never faced each other one-on-one throughout their respective careers.

  1. Hillbilly Jim, Chyna, Lex Luger, “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, “Big O” Bob Orton, Tommy Dreamer, Demolition (Ax, Smash & Crush) and The Undertaker get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

  1. The WWE Universe gets to see more of the United Kingdom Division and the WWE United Kingdom Championship on Raw, SmackDown LIVE and Pay-Per-View.

  1. WWE’s Four Horsewomen (Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch & Bayley) vs. MMA’s Four Horsewomen (Ronda Rousey, current NXT Superstar Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir & Jessamyn Duke) face each other in an 8-Woman Tag Team Match.

  1. WWE Network airs new episodes of Main Event again, airs new and adds past episodes of En Espanol, extends past episodes of Total Divas and Total Bellas, adds all past episodes of Main Event and Superstars, adds all episodes of Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling again and adds all WWE Studios movies.

  1. Finn Balor regains the Universal Championship that he never lost.
