OVW TV 6-22-13: The Coaltion Continues to Wreak Havoc

The show began with Rob Terry calling out Jay Bradley and challenging him to a one-on-one match for the evening and he even put his #1 contendership to the OVW Heavyweight Championship on the line. Also, OVW Television Champion Randy Royal defended against one-half of The Gut Checkers Sam Shaw. Royal, unbeknownst to the referee, uses a chain to get the pin and the win to retain his championship and hides the chain under his arm; however, Royal’s former friend, Tony Gunn, comes out and busts Royal with the chain, prompting the ref to restart the match. At one point, The Coalition comes out and attacks Sam Shaw, leading to the disqualification win for Shaw. After other members of the OVW locker room come out to even the odds, during the melee, Shaw gets his head driven into the ring post and suffers some injuries to his head. Also, Heidi Lovelace confronts Taeler Hendrix about using her as a human shield the previous week on OVW TV. Taeler comes up with an excuse and tells Heidi if she wins her match for the evening, she will give her something special. Unfortunately, her opponent was the powerful Lei’D Tapa and Lei’D …

OVW TV 6-16-13: The Coalition Gets Outsmarted

The show began with Jay Bradley coming out to address the fact that OVW Owner “Nightmare” Danny Davis told him that he has to earn his opportunity at the OVW Heavyweight Championship. Bradley then said that he plans on doing that by going through every contender that is in line for an opportunity. After reminding everybody he took #3 in Ryan Howe out last week on OVW TV, he then issued an open challenge to #2 in OVW Television Champion Randy Royal. Randy Royal (accompanied by Tony Gunn) came out and had every intention of denying the challenge, until Gunn would accept on Royal’s behalf. I am not a fan of either one of these guys and I was not sure who to root against in this one. In the end, when Royal attempted to use a chain, Gunn snatched it from him; Bradley then hit Royal with his signature maneuver “The Boomstick” to get the pin and the win in this non-title encounter. I would like to point out that last week on OVW TV, during the match between Royal and Gunn, Royal feigned a heart attack to get the victory over Gunn, thus betraying his trust. My only …

OVW TV 6-1-13: The Coalition Gain Momentum

On this edition of OVW TV, Nikki St. John asked Taeler Hendrix about what has been going on with her and Heidi Lovelace. Taeler confessed to Nikki that she’s only using Heidi to get what she desires; Nikki gave Taeler her full support for it. Later on, when Heidi walked into the locker room, Taeler told her that OVW Women’s Champion Trina Thompson has been saying stuff about her (Taeler) behind her back and encouraged Heidi to go talk to Trina about it. Eventually, she did go talk to Trina; Heidi ended up issuing an open challenge to Trina for her championship, which Trina accepted. Afterwards, Taeler and Nikki were seen hiding behind a door and crediting one another for their con-job. Man, I sure hope Heidi sees Taeler for what she truly is very soon. Also, OVW commentator Michael Titus did an in-ring interview with the team of Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez about their reasons for teaming up. During the interview, Vaez revealed that he had served in the U.S. Army and is a graduate of Westbrook. Eventually, members of The Coalition come out and attempt to ambush Hayes & Vaez, but the two men gained the …

OVW TV 5-25-13: Mohamad Ali Vaez Returns

The show began with OVW Southern Tag Team Champions and Coalition members Crimson & Jason Wayne giving a State of OVW Address. They brought up the fact that last week on OVW TV, Michael Hayes was relieved of his duties as OVW Director of Operations. Then, OVW Owner “Nightmare” Danny Davis comes out and informs The Coalition, as well as everybody else, that the position of OVW Director of Operations is no more and that Davis is running things around OVW. He then announced that he had reinstated Michael Hayes as an active wrestler. Then, he told Crimson & Wayne that they would be facing Hayes and a partner of Hayes’ choosing at the next Saturday Night Special in a non-title match. Davis also said that Hayes would reveal who his partner would be later in the night, which The Coalition spent the entire evening trying to find out about. Also, one-half of The Mobile Homers Ted McNaler (accompanied by Brittany DeVore) went one-on-one with Marcus Anthony, who was making his return to TNA. At one point in the match, McNaler appeared to have injured his back; Anthony capitalized on this and finished off McNaler to get the victory. After …

OVW TV 5-11-13: King Mo Returns, The Coalition Sink to A New Low

The show began with a one-on-one match between Elvis Pridemoore and Coalition member Joe Coleman. In the end, other members of The Coalition come out and gang up on Pridemoore, until Jay Bradley, who was attacked by The Coalition backstage last week on OVW TV, comes out to put a stop to it. Bradley then challenges any two members of The Coalition to a match; OVW Director of Operations Michael Hayes comes out and makes the match official for the main event of the evening. Throughout the night, people had been offering Bradley to be his tag team partner for the match, but Bradley told everybody that he doesn’t want a partner. Eventually, backstage, Hayes tells Bradley that he needs to have a partner or the match won’t happen; Rob Terry then walks in and confirms that he is his partner for the match. Also, it was the return of current MMA Fighter and TNA Superstar King Mo making his first OVW appearance, as well as having his first official match in TNA. His opponent was VIP Club member J Best (accompanied by the other members of The VIP Club); King Mo ended up forcing J Best to tap out …

OVW TV 5-4-13: OVW Takes A Stand Against The Coalition

The show began with OVW Director of Operations Michael Hayes putting together a Six-Man Tag Team Main Event for the evening between the team of Rudy Switchblade and The Mobile Homers (Adam Revolver & Ted McNaler) against any three members of The Coalition. Hayes then announces that he’ll have members of the OVW locker room surrounding walkways and doorways, so that other members of The Coalition won’t interfere in the match. Also, after defeating Jessie Belle Smothers in a non-title match earlier in the night, OVW Women’s Champion Trina is approached backstage by Eddie Diamond & Timmy Danger and Eddie pleads with Trina to give Eddie’s girlfriend Epiphany a rematch for the championship. Trina agrees to it, but only because she says she’s a fighting champion. Also, Heidi Lovelace calls out Taeler Hendrix to set the record straight about the gifts that she has been sending to Taeler for the past couple of months. Heidi then tells Taeler that Dylan Bostic doesn’t care about her, Ryan Howe doesn’t care about her, but that she does. Taeler responds by telling Heidi that she needs time to figure out what all of this means before walking off. To be honest, I don’t …

OVW TV 4-27-13: The Coalition Continues Its Terror

The show began with The Coalition coming out; conspicuous by his absence was the leader Crimson. Second-In-Command Jason Wayne reminded everybody that OVW is in a state of war. Then, OVW Director of Operations Michael Hayes comes out and tells them that there are a bunch of guys in the locker room that want to get their hands on them. He then had those guys come out; the men that came out were Rob Terry, OVW Television Champion Rockstar Spud, Randy Royal, Tony Gunn, Eddie Diamond, and surprisingly, Jay Bradley. Bradley made it clear that he did not like or care about the other guys that were opposing The Coalition, but he has an issue with The Coalition because he feels that they ruined his opportunity to make a statement. Michael Hayes then decides to make a 12-Man Tag Team Match for the main event of the evening between The Coalition and the six guys from the OVW locker room standing in the ring. Also, while Ryan Howe is getting ready for his tag team match backstage, Heidi Lovelace comes in and tries to tell Howe about the gifts that Taeler Hendrix has been receiving for the past several weeks. …

OVW TV 3-30-13: Doug Williams Screws Doug Williams

The show began with #1 contender to the OVW Heavyweight Championship Crimson reminding champion Doug Williams about the deal that he and Williams made as far as preventing Jamin Olivencia from becoming the #1 contender to Williams’ championship. That deal was that Crimson could have his championship opportunity at anytime and anywhere and Crimson Told Williams that he wanted his opportunity that night. Doug Williams reluctantly agreed. Also, the 24/7 match between Rudy Switchblade and Jessie Godderz continued and it still continues on as we speak. Also, during Paredyse’s match with Albert E. Baxter II, Brittany DeVore appeared on the titantron and vowed vengeance upon him, Brandon Espinosa, and Chris for the stunt that they had pulled on her the previous week. Despite the minor distraction, Paredyse still managed to defeat Baxter. Also, it was the battle of the rockstars when OVW Television Champion Rockstar Spud defended his championship against “Wrestling’s Rockstar” Ryan Howe. Ever since Rockstar Spud made his first OVW TV appearance, I’ve been waiting for these two rockstars to encounter one another and wondering what would happen between the two. I’m a fan of both of these guys, but I decided to root for Rockstar Spud. During …

Kiss My Foot Matches Between the Women

The Rule of a Kiss My Foot Match is that the loser of the match must kiss the winner’s feet. Throughout wrestling history, WWE has had two Kiss My Foot Matches that featured the men, but have never had any between the women. However, there was one Kiss My Foot Match between the women that took place at WWE’s Developmental Territory in late 2007, but it was kind of only one-sided because only one of the women in the match had the opportunity of getting her feet kissed by her opponent. When the men have Kiss My Foot Matches, it’s a pretty disturbing sight, but if the women had them, the sight would be much better. Bottom line, I think there should be more Kiss My Foot Matches between the women in any wrestling company.…
