The year 2014 has officially begun. With that being said, here are some things that I think need to, or at least should, happen in ROH in 2014.
Remove Steve Corino from Commentary
The one current heel commentator in ROH is Steve Corino. Now, while I do not find him as unbearable as the other current heel commentators from the other two respective wrestling companies (John “Bradshaw” Layfield in WWE and Taz and Michael Titus in TNA), he still tends to antagonize his fellow commentators, the faces, and the fans of ROH, defend and sympathize with his fellow heels’ dastardly ways, spew propaganda, and be hypocritical like the other heel commentators from the other two wrestling companies. ROH not only needs to remove Corino from commentary, but also not put any more heels on commentary afterwards. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the fans of ROH have to put up with enough other garbage from the heels.
Get the Women of Honor More Involved
One thing that I have noticed about ROH is that they do not have the Women of Honor competing in that many matches. ROH should not only have more matches between …
On this edition of ROH TV, announcer and wrestler Veda Scott, still pissed about MsChif spitting green mist into her face a few weeks ago on ROH TV, challenged MsChif to a match. Speaking of MsChif, she went one-on-one with Cherry Bomb. At first, I thought that maybe Veda Scott had turned heel a few weeks ago; however, after seeing her use some underhanded tactics during the match, I’m thinking it’s MsChif who has turned heel. As for the ending result of the match, while the referee had his back turned, Veda Scott came out and snapped MsChif’s neck off the rope ring rope; this allowed Cherry Bomb to capitalize and finish off MsChif to get the victory. The only question that remains is whether or not MsChif will accept Veda’s challenge. Personally, I hope so because I’ve never seen Veda in an official wrestling match before. Also, ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness decided to make the ROH Championship match between The Briscoe Brothers, Jay being the champion and Mark being the challenger, happen and it will take place at the upcoming Best In the World 2013 I-PPV event. While I am a fan of both of The Briscoe Brothers, …
The show began with ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness coming out and announcing the following guys who will get a future opportunity at the ROH World Championship. Before he can finish, the champion Jay Briscoe comes out and tells Nigel that he doesn’t care who gets put in front of him because he will kick all of their asses. Then, Jay’s brother Mark comes out and tells him how much he has been talking about that ever since he won the championship. Mark then actually issues an open challenge to his brother for the championship, which Jay accepts. Nigel then tells The Briscoes that he will take it under consideration. Will we see two brothers fight for the ROH World Championship? Also, in the main event, Kevin Steen went one-on-one with Adam Cole, who recently turned heel. In the end, thanks to some interference from members of S.C.U.M., Cole was able to defeat Steen to end the program.…
This was a special Road Rage edition of ROH TV that showed highlights from the recent Border Wars iPPV event. One of the highlights was when Michael Elgin and Jay Lethal teamed up to take on S.C.U.M. members Jimmy Jacobs & Cliff Compton (accompanied by S.C.U.M. leader Steve Corino). The stipulation of this match was that if S.C.U.M. wins, then one member of the faction would receive a future ROH World Championship opportunity and Steve Corino would become the new commentary partner of Kevin Kelly, but if Elgin and Lethal win, then Corino would be forced to leave ROH for good. At one point in the match, Lethal had injured his knee and was dubbed unable to continue. It was then a 2-on-1 Handicap Match until Kevin Steen showed up and offered to fill in for Lethal, which ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness agreed to. In the end, it was S.C.U.M. who were victorious, thus earning one member of S.C.U.M. a future championship opportunity and earning Corino the right to join commentary. Great, just we need, more heel commentators. Lastly, it was revealed that ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe had successfully defended against Adam Cole.…

The show began with S.C.U.M. members Steve Corino, Jimmy Jacobs, Cliff Compton, & Rhett Titus coming out and issuing an open challenge to ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness to send out three of ROH’s best to face Jacobs, Compton, & Titus in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. The three men to accept the challenge were BJ Whitmer and C & C (Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander). In the end, it was S.C.U.M. that emerged victorious. Also, Nigel McGuinness hosted the official contract signing for the ROH World Championship Match between Champion Jay Briscoe and Challenger Adam Cole at the upcoming Internet-Pay-Per-View Event Border Wars. After both men had signed the contract and shook hands, S.C.U.M. members Steve Corino, Matt Hardy, & Rhino came out and interrupted. Jay Briscoe then issued an open challenge for a tag team match between himself and Adam Cole against Matt Hardy & Rhino. Nigel agreed to make the match happen, so it was official. At one point during the match, just as Briscoe was about to go for the finish, Cole tags himself into the match. Then, when chaos ensued, just when Rhino attempts to hit his signature move, the Gore, on Cole, he side-steps …
The show began with former ROH World Champion and leader of S.C.U.M. Kevin Steen coming out to address his loss to Jay Briscoe at SuperCard of Honor VII. Before he could really start, fellow S.C.U.M. member Steve Corino comes out to confront Steen about not returning any of his calls, as well as his recent actions. Steen tells Corino that the reason he wanted to destroy ROH is because he wanted to put it out of its misery because of the way former ROH Match Maker Jim Cornette was running ROH. Steen said that since Cornette is now no longer with ROH, he feels the company is just fine now. Corino continued to remind Steen of S.C.U.M.’s mission to destroy ROH while other members of S.C.U.M. came out. Steen told Corino that he had only intended for it to be Corino, Jimmy Jacobs, and himself as S.C.U.M. to destroy ROH, rather than add more members of S.C.U.M. Steen then told Corino that since he had the utmost respect for him, he decided to go along with Corino’s plan of bringing more members in. Steen then went on to say that he was happy to work with Corino and Jacobs, but …

This Saturday on ROH TV, the leader of S.C.U.M. Kevin Steen will speak for the first time since losing the ROH World Championship to Jay Briscoe at SuperCard of Honor VII. Also, Mike Bennett will go one-on-one with Roderick Strong. While I am not a fan of either one of these guys, I think I’ll be rooting against Strong. Also, Tadarius Thomas will be in singles action. Finally, in the main event, ROH Television Champion and House of Truth member Matt Taven will defend against ACH.…

The show began with ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness inside the ring surrounded by members of the ROH locker room who are faces. I should point out that the week before on ROH TV, MsChif did something that gave people a reason to believe she had potentially turned heel; however, on this edition of ROH TV, she was amongst the faces that were surrounding ringside. Therefore, I’m just gonna say that she’s still a face and that her emotions just got the better of her last week. Anyway, to the point, Nigel introduced the new ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe. During his speech, he basically said that he was honored to be the one that got the championship out of S.C.U.M.’s (Kevin Steen, Steve Corino, Jimmy Jacobs, Rhino, Matt Hardy, Jimmy Rave, Rhett Titus, & Cliff Compton) clutches and that winning the championship for the first time was just icing on the cake. Then, the next #1 contender to the championship, Adam Cole, stepped into the ring to congratulate Jay, but at the same time, he made it clear that he has every intention of taking the championship off his waist. Also, Jay’s younger brother, Mark, won a match to …
In one match, it was Tadarius Thomas & ACH taking on QT Marshall and a mystery partner. That mystery partner turned out to be QT’s manager RD Evans. Unfortunately, ROHWrestling.com did not post the outcome of this match. Also, Shelton Benjamin was scheduled to go one-on-one with his former friend and tag team partner Charlie Haas, but for some reason, Haas didn’t show up. Shelton then called for ringside attendant Cheeseburger and told Cheeseburger that he respected him for recently standing up to Charlie Haas despite the fact that Cheeseburger is still in training to become a wrestler. They then get interrupted by the returning trio of Mike Bennett, his new fiancee Maria Kanellis, & his trainer “Brutal” Bob Evans. Bennett then started talking smack to Benjamin and Cheeseburger. Then, Cheeseburger gets tired of listening to Bennett and snatches the mic from him and had some very colorful words towards Bennett & Maria. This led to a match between Benjamin and Bennett with Bennett coming out on top. Also, Michael Elgin beat Jay Lethal to become the #1 contender to the ROH World Championship. Finally, in the main event of the night, ROH World Champion and the leader of S.C.U.M. …

In the main event, ROH World Champion and leader of S.C.U.M. Kevin Steen beat Mark Briscoe to retain his championship; therefore, Mark’s older brother Jay will get an opportunity at the championship at Supercard of Honor VII…
The show began with ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness in the ring surrounded by members of the ROH locker room (both faces and heels). Nigel addressed how S.C.U.M. declared war on ROH at the 11th Anniversary Event. Nigel said that S.C.U.M. can have a war. He said that ROH Management had banned S.C.U.M. from the arena this week for the sake of others’ safety. Regardless, Nigel still intends to go to war with S.C.U.M. because he and other members of the ROH locker room want to restore honor in ROH. Therefore, Nigel intends to let S.C.U.M. into the building next week even if it means putting his job on the line. Nigel said that one of the best ways to restore honor is by getting the ROH World Championship off the waist of the leader of S.C.U.M., Kevin Steen. Nigel named some contenders for the championship and those contenders would be getting their opportunity at the championship on those particular dates as long as Kevin Steen still holds the championship by the time that date comes around. The contenders that were named were Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe, BJ Whitmer, Adam Cole and Nigel put together a #1 contenders’ match between …
At the ROH 11th Anniversary Event, 2 of the 3 championships changed hands and S.C.U.M. stood tall at the end of the event. Matt Taven beat Adam Cole (with an assist from Truth Martini) to become the 7th ROH Television Champion. redDRagon beat The Briscoes to become the 36th ROH Tag Team Champions. After Kevin Steen beat Jay Lethal to retain the ROH World Championship, the other members of S.C.U.M. hit the ring to attack and chaos ensued. The Briscoes and C & C came out to help Lethal, but were then thwarted by the ROH return of Jimmy Rave, who then aligned himself with S.C.U.M. Then, BJ Whitmer and Rhett Titus came out to fend off S.C.U.M. only for Titus to turn on Whitmer and align with S.C.U.M. as well, thus turning Titus heel (bad guy). Michael Elgin then came out to fend off S.C.U.M., but was then thwarted by the ROH debut of current TNA Developmental Superstar Cliff Compton, who also aligned himself with S.C.U.M. Adam Cole then came out to fend off S.C.U.M., but was then thwarted by Matt Hardy, who (you guessed it) also aligned himself with S.C.U.M. After S.C.U.M. disposed of everybody, Steve Corino declared …
ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness called out Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy came out with the ROH Television Championship, which currently belonged to Adam Cole, and said that he would give the belt back on the condition that he get an opportunity at the championship. After Hardy handed Nigel the belt, Nigel told Hardy that if he goes through 4 other competitors in a Fatal 4-Way match, then he’d get an opportunity; Matt Hardy agreed to it. Lastly, there was the ROH Tag Team Championship Match between champions The Briscoes and challengers Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team. The added stipulation was that if WGTT lost, they could never team together ever again in ROH. Charlie Haas shocked the world when he turned his back on Shelton Benjamin. Mark Briscoe reluctantly finished Shelton off and The Briscoes retained their championships. Therefore, WGTT is history. After the match, Charlie Haas made that even more clear when he tore up a WGTT t-shirt. Of course, the one question that remains is why Charlie Haas turned his back on his long-time friend and tag team partner. This also means that Shelton Benjamin has turned face (good guy).…
