OVW TV 4-27-13: The Coalition Continues Its Terror

The show began with The Coalition coming out; conspicuous by his absence was the leader Crimson. Second-In-Command Jason Wayne reminded everybody that OVW is in a state of war. Then, OVW Director of Operations Michael Hayes comes out and tells them that there are a bunch of guys in the locker room that want to get their hands on them. He then had those guys come out; the men that came out were Rob Terry, OVW Television Champion Rockstar Spud, Randy Royal, Tony Gunn, Eddie Diamond, and surprisingly, Jay Bradley. Bradley made it clear that he did not like or care about the other guys that were opposing The Coalition, but he has an issue with The Coalition because he feels that they ruined his opportunity to make a statement. Michael Hayes then decides to make a 12-Man Tag Team Match for the main event of the evening between The Coalition and the six guys from the OVW locker room standing in the ring. Also, while Ryan Howe is getting ready for his tag team match backstage, Heidi Lovelace comes in and tries to tell Howe about the gifts that Taeler Hendrix has been receiving for the past several weeks. …

ROH TV 4-27-13: ROH World Championship Match Heats Up

The show began with S.C.U.M. members Steve Corino, Jimmy Jacobs, Cliff Compton, & Rhett Titus coming out and issuing an open challenge to ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness to send out three of ROH’s best to face Jacobs, Compton, & Titus in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. The three men to accept the challenge were BJ Whitmer and C & C (Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander). In the end, it was S.C.U.M. that emerged victorious. Also, Nigel McGuinness hosted the official contract signing for the ROH World Championship Match between Champion Jay Briscoe and Challenger Adam Cole at the upcoming Internet-Pay-Per-View Event Border Wars. After both men had signed the contract and shook hands, S.C.U.M. members Steve Corino, Matt Hardy, & Rhino came out and interrupted. Jay Briscoe then issued an open challenge for a tag team match between himself and Adam Cole against Matt Hardy & Rhino. Nigel agreed to make the match happen, so it was official. At one point during the match, just as Briscoe was about to go for the finish, Cole tags himself into the match. Then, when chaos ensued, just when Rhino attempts to hit his signature move, the Gore, on Cole, he side-steps …

WWE Saturday Morning Slam 4-27-13: Our Heroes Conquer

The show began with a Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match between the team of The Great Khali, Hornswoggle, & Natalya Neidhart against the team of The Colons (Primo & Epico) & Rosa Mendes with Khali, Hornswoggle, & Natalya coming out on top. Also, Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow & Cody Rhodes) were backstage trying to get people to sign a petition to actually remove the General Manager of Saturday Morning Slam and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley from the WWE Hall of Fame, but to no avail. Two guys that were included in refusing to sign the petition were The Usos (Jimmy & Jey). They basically let Team Rhode Scholars understand all of the reasons why Foley is in the WWE Hall of Fame. Then, Mick Foley himself walks in and decides to make a tag team match between the two teams. As for the match, one of The Usos was able to surprise Sandow with a Small Package roll-up to get the pin and the win for his team. The show ended with leaving smiles on all the kids’ faces.…

WWE Raw 4-29-13: Post-European Tour

Going into tomorrow night’s Raw, there are many questions on everybody’s mind. For instance, after The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns) completely decimated The Undertaker this past Friday on Smackdown, is there anybody that can stop The Shield at all? Also, after becoming the #1 contender to the WWE Divas Championship by winning a Divas Battle Royal last week on Raw, will AJ Lee beat the champ Kaitlyn when they meet for the championship? I certainly hope not because it’s bad enough that Dolph Ziggler is the current World Heavyweight Champion and with AJ as the new Divas Champion, Dolph & AJ truly would be WWE’s power couple and that’s the last thing that we want/need. Finally, WWE Champion John Cena and Ryback were scheduled to face all three members of The Shield in a 2-on-3 Handicap Match tomorrow night; however, Cena was injured during a match with Ryback at a live event during the European tour. Will Cena even be able to compete tomorrow night on Raw, let alone at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event when he’s supposed to put his championship on the line against Ryback? Tune in tomorrow night at 8/7 ct on …

WWE Smackdown 4-26-13: The Shield Decimates The Undertaker

On this edition of Smackdown, there were a few superstars who had homecomings when Smackdown emanated from the United Kingdom in London, England at the O2 Arena. For instance, it was a great homecoming for London native Layla El when she defeated Aksana. Also, there were two more homecomings when two of England’s own, William Regal and Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, went one-on-one in a non-title match with Barrett coming out on top. Finally, in the main event, The Undertaker competed on Smackdown for the first time in nearly three years when he went one-on-one with Shield leader Dean Ambrose (accompanied by fellow Shield cohorts Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns). The good news is that The Undertaker beat Ambrose, the bad news is that The Shield gave Undertaker a post-match attack. In the end, The Shield drove The Undertaker threw the announcers’ table with their patented Triple-Power Bomb maneuver to end the program.…

Impact Wrestling 4-25-13: Sting Returns

The show began with James Storm coming out giving credit to AJ Styles, who was standing amongst the crowd in attendance, for defeating him last week on Impact Wrestling. Storm then addressed The Aces & Eights attacking him after the match and then dared them to come out and fight. Instead, he gets interrupted by Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian). Bad Influence then addresses the fact that they were attacked by Aces & Eights as well the previous week and that they think that they should reform the faction known as Fortune, in which Styles, Storm, Daniels, and Kazarian were once members of, and take down The Aces & Eights. While AJ left everybody with more questions than answers, like he has been for the past number of weeks, Storm made it clear that he had no interest in reforming Fortune when he decided to fight them instead of Aces & Eights, since they wouldn’t come out. Unfortunately, the numbers’ game caught up with Storm and Bad Influence left him lying in the ring in the end. Then, Aces & Eights come out to pick up the scraps, but then, Joseph Park comes to Storm’s aid. Park is …

This week’s edition of WWE Superstars took place at the O2 Arena in London, England from the United Kingdom. The first match was between one-half of The Usos, Jimmy (accompanied by his brother Jey) and Michael McGillicutty with Jimmy coming out on top. In the main event, it was a Divas Tag Team Match when the team of WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn & London, England native Layla took on the team of Tamina Snuka & Aksana. In the end, it was Kaitlyn who hit both Aksana and Tamina with her signature move, the Spear, leading her team to victory. Not only was it a great homecoming for Layla, but this was one of the nights that all of the heroes came through for the WWE Universe.…

WWE NXT 4-24-13: All Champions Retain

The theme for this edition of NXT was “Clash of Champions”. There were four championships on the line. The first match was for the United States Championship. It was announced on the bottom of the NXT screen that this match was taped several weeks ago, meaning that Antonio Cesaro was the champion at the time it was taped, but since then, Kofi Kingston had beaten Cesaro for the championship on Raw. Therefore, we already knew Cesaro was going to retain. As for the match, Cesaro defended against NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville. After back-and-forth action between the two, it was Cesaro who hit Neville with his signature maneuver, the Neutralizer, to get the pin and the win to retain his championship. The next championship match was for the WWE Divas Championship with Kaitlyn defending against former BFF AJ Lee. In the end, Kaitlyn hit AJ with her signature maneuver, the Spear, to get the victory and retain. While AJ may have come up short in this bout, she did win a Divas Battle Royal on Raw this past Monday to earn an opportunity at the Divas Championship, so she will be getting another opportunity at the championship in the …

WWE Main Event 4-24-13: Mark Henry Conquers Everybody…Almost

The show began with Main Event commentator John “Bradshaw” Layfield interviewing Mark Henry about his recent attacks on Sheamus. Then, things began to turn a little hostile when JBL goaded Mark Henry into facing four guys in a Gauntlet Match. He was originally scheduled to face The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, but instead he ended up having Jimmy as his first opponent. After Henry disposed of Jimmy, his brother Jey was Henry’s next opponent. Henry disposed of him as well. Henry’s fourth opponent was Santino Marella. Despite a valiant effort, Santino could not put away Henry. Henry’s fourth and final opponent was The Great Khali. After back-and-forth action between the two giants, Khali knocks Henry out of the ring. Instead of returning to the ring, Henry decides to walk out on the match, thus giving Khali the win by count-out. I guess Henry realized that he was about to get beat.…

Ryback Turns Heel? Come On!

I just don’t get it. Why would the WWE turn Ryback into a heel right in the middle of his rising popularity. I mean let’s look at what has happened over the past year: Ryback went undefeated for nearly the entire year in 2012, he started the chant of “Feed Me More!”, which caught on with the WWE Universe, and whenever his music hit, the crowd would erupt. He was well on his way to becoming an iconic hero to the WWE Universe. Why would WWE all of sudden change all of that just like that? It’s Ridiculous! The WWE really slipped up on this one.…

WWE Raw 4-22-13: John Cena “Adjusts” Ryback’s “Attitude”

The show began with Paul Heyman in the ring telling everybody that he was there on behalf of his client Brock Lesnar to await WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H’s response to Lesnar’s challenge to Triple H in a Steel Cage Match at the upcoming pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules. Heyman then informed the WWE Universe that he had received a text from Triple H saying that he wasn’t going to be at Raw this night due to the injuries to his arm he is recovering from and that he would give Lesnar his answer next week on Raw. However, Triple H’s music hit and out comes Triple H. Triple H then tells Heyman that the text he sent him was a lie. He then tells Heyman to tell Lesnar that he accepts his challenge at Extreme Rules and then hits Heyman with his signature move, the Pedigree. Also, Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and her assistant Brad Maddox informed World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler that if Chris Jericho wins in his non-title match against Ziggler, then Jericho will be added to the World Heavyweight Championship Match at Extreme Rules between champion Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, and Jack Swagger, thus becoming …

ROH TV 4-20-13: ROH Challenges S.C.U.M.

The show began with former ROH World Champion and leader of S.C.U.M. Kevin Steen coming out to address his loss to Jay Briscoe at SuperCard of Honor VII. Before he could really start, fellow S.C.U.M. member Steve Corino comes out to confront Steen about not returning any of his calls, as well as his recent actions. Steen tells Corino that the reason he wanted to destroy ROH is because he wanted to put it out of its misery because of the way former ROH Match Maker Jim Cornette was running ROH. Steen said that since Cornette is now no longer with ROH, he feels the company is just fine now. Corino continued to remind Steen of S.C.U.M.’s mission to destroy ROH while other members of S.C.U.M. came out. Steen told Corino that he had only intended for it to be Corino, Jimmy Jacobs, and himself as S.C.U.M. to destroy ROH, rather than add more members of S.C.U.M. Steen then told Corino that since he had the utmost respect for him, he decided to go along with Corino’s plan of bringing more members in. Steen then went on to say that he was happy to work with Corino and Jacobs, but …

The first match of the night was Eddie Diamond (accompanied by Timmy Danger) going one-on-one with Jessie Godderz. Once The Coalition turned their attention to Jessie Godderz, he took off and The Coalition finished disposing of Diamond. Also, Doug Williams revealed to the new OVW Heavyweight Champion Jamin Olivencia that he had invoked his rematch clause for the upcoming Saturday Night Special. Backstage, Sam Shaw was attacked by members of The Coalition. Also, OVW Television Champion Rockstar Spud was scheduled to defend against Randy Royal, but while Spud was making his way towards the ring, members of The Coalition came out and attacked him. Spud was deemed unable to compete. Furious over not getting his opportunity at the championship, Randy Royal challenged any two members of The Coalition to face him and his friend Tony Gunn. Coalition members Jack Black & Joe Coleman accepted the challenge. Eventually, other Coalition members come out to distract the ref and Coleman takes this opportunity to grab a belt of bullets and use them on Gunn; this allows Coleman to get the pin and the …

Tonight, Raw heads to the U.K. when it takes place from London, England. Last week on Raw, Brock Lesnar challenged WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H to a Steel Cage Match at the upcoming pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules. Triple H will be at Raw tonight to respond to the challenge. We have to also wonder what condition Triple H’s recently injured arm will be in. Also, it is the one-night reunion of The Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker & Kane) when Undertaker teams up with WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) to take on The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns). Also, CM Punk shocked his manager Paul Heyman, as well as the rest of world, last week on Raw when he walked out while addressing his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. Will Punk or Heyman have any explanation behind Punk’s walkout tonight? Lastly, will John Cena get payback on Ryback tonight for his recent shocking attack on Cena? All of this and much more tonight on Raw at 8/7 on USA Network.…
