Review on Robot Combat League

After watching the very first edition of Robot Combat League, which is hosted by WWE Superstar Chris Jericho, here is my take on it. I didn’t find all the preparations and sorts all that interesting, but as far as the combating between the robots, that’s when things really start to get interesting. Regardless of my take on the show, I still plan on tuning in because WWE Superstar Chris Jericho is on the show and like stay updated when it comes to WWE. For those who may be interested in tuning in, you can catch the show every Tuesday night at 10/9ct on Syfy.…

WWE NXT 2-27-13 Review

The show started out backstage with NXT General Manager and WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes talking with Bo Dallas. All of sudden, Corey Graves walks in with Big E Langston’s NXT Championship intact. He Reluctantly hands the belt over to Dusty Rhodes, who is obviously intending to return it to it’s current owner. Then, Corey asks why Bo Dallas is there and Dusty responds by saying that Bo is there because of his recent accomplishments over current Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett. Corey Graves then tells dusty that he should be NXT Champion. Once Dusty hears this, he makes a no. 1 contenders triple threat match between Corey Graves, Conor O’Brian, and Bo Dallas in the main event of the evening, the winner gets a shot at Big E Langston’s championship. Later on in the program, backstage announcer Renee Young reports that Bo Dallas was mysteriously attacked and was not able to compete. Therefore, the triple threat match turned into a one-on-one match. Before the match could decide the winner, out of nowhere comes The Shield and attacks both competitors, leaving no no. 1 contender to the championship in the end. Personally, I have mixed emotions about that outcome. On …

WWE Main Event 2-27-13 Review

The regular commentary team for Main Event are Michael Cole and The Miz, but on this edition of the program, for reasons unknown, The Miz was absent and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler sat in for him that night. Also, at the start of the show, WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn ran into Cody Rhodes backstage for the second time in a row. Soon after, Sheamus walked in and talked about Cody’s Mustache. This lead to Cody issuing a challenge to Sheamus, which was excepted. Despite Cody’s best effort, Sheamus was victorious. Later on backstage, Cody was livid over his loss, but Kaitlyn attempted to comfort Cody by saying, “The mustache never gives up.” After Kaitlyn took off, it appeared that Cody was taking some thought into that statement. I personally believe that it’s only the mustache that Kaitlyn digs and not necessarily Cody Rhodes himself. In the other main event of the night, Mark Henry dominated Justin Gabriel. To end the show, they took a look back at the epic match between John Cena and Cm Punk from this past Monday on Raw. I guess the match was so epic, they decided to actually show the match …

WWE Hall of Fame Gets Trumped

It was announced two nights ago on WWE Raw that Donald Trump will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2013. Trump has some history with WWE. For instance, both WrestleManias 4 and 5 took place at Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino. Another notable role Donald Trump took part in was at WrestleMania 23 when his representative, Bobby Lashley, defeated Vince McMahon’s Representative, Umaga, giving Trump the right to shave McMahon’s head bald. One other significant role Donald Trump had with WWE was the fact that he had actually purchased one WWE’s shows, Monday Night Raw. It was, however, short-lived when Mr. McMahon purchased Raw Back from him, but for double the price that Trump Paid McMahon. Donald Trump will be joining other celebrities who are also in the WWE Hall of Fame including Pete Rose, Drew Carey, Mike Tyson, among others. The WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place this year at the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden.…

Divas Tag Team Match for WWE NXT

After seeing recent encounters between Paige and Summer Rae and Sasha Banks and Audrey Marie, respectively, I think it would be a great idea for WWE to put together a Divas Tag Team Match between the team of Paige and Sasha Banks taking on the team of Summer Rae and Audrey Marie.…

WWE Raw 2-25-13 Review

Last night’s Raw was quite interesting. Both Brock Lesnar and Triple H returned to Raw and brawled with one another. The brawl was so brutal that Lesnar got busted open and had to get 18 staples to close the wound in his head. There was also MizTV with guests Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez and Jack Swagger with w/ Zeb Colter. I think Swagger and Colter are making it crystal clear that they have no desire to befriend any foreigners whatsoever. I think Alberto Del Rio put it best, America doesn’t belong to just one person, it belongs to everybody. Also, after Team Hell No claimed that they could beat Prime Time Players “blindfolded” and  “with one arm tied behind my back”, respectively, Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and her assistant Brad Maddox had them put those claims to the test (literally). I think for the most part Kane did pretty good, but I saw little struggle from Daniel Bryan. Regardless, Team Hell No pulled off the victory. I also thought it was great how Sheamus had diverted the attention of two shield members while Randy Orton came up from behind the one in the ring and hit him …

Kiss My Foot Matches Between the Women

The Rule of a Kiss My Foot Match is that the loser of the match must kiss the winner’s feet. Throughout wrestling history, WWE has had two Kiss My Foot Matches that featured the men, but have never had any between the women. However, there was one Kiss My Foot Match between the women that took place at WWE’s Developmental Territory in late 2007, but it was kind of only one-sided because only one of the women in the match had the opportunity of getting her feet kissed by her opponent. When the men have Kiss My Foot Matches, it’s a pretty disturbing sight, but if the women had them, the sight would be much better. Bottom line, I think there should be more Kiss My Foot Matches between the women in any wrestling company.…

Wrestling Not Sting’s Intention?

While a lot of people may recognize Sting as one of the greatest wrestling legends of all time, as well as a WWE and IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Famer, what people may not realize is that he never intended to become a wrestler. Sting said himself that it was never his dream to become a wrestler. As a matter of fact, during his IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame speech, he had mentioned that he had not even heard of Hulk Hogan before he got into wrestling. Hulk Hogan was and still is so famous that people don’t necessarily need to be a wrestling fan to know who he is. As crazy as it sounds, this a true story about Sting.…

The Steiners vs. The Hardys

The Steiners vs.

The Hardys

Rick and Scott, The Steiners and Matt and Jeff, The Hardys are two of the greatest real-life brother tag teams in history. Both of these teams are multiple time tag team champions. In addition to having success as a tag team, all four of these men have all had success as singles competitors. While there have been many real-life brother tag teams throughout wrestling history, there have also been brother tag teams that are not brothers in real life. These are two tag teams that actually are real-life brothers. These are two of the greatest real-life brother tag teams of all time from two different eras. If this match were ever to become a reality, it would most definitely have the makings of a classic tag team encounter. Which team do you think would win?…

The ECW Championship should be included

As we all know, there is the WWE Triple Crown (WWE or World Heavyweight
Championship, Intercontinental or WWE United States Championship, and World, WWE,
or Unified Tag Team Championship) and the WWE Grand Slam (WWE or World
Heavyweight Championship, Intercontinental or WWE United States Championship,
World, WWE, or Unified Tag Team Championship, and European or WWE Hardcore
Championship). Since the ECW Championship was one of WWE’s World Championships,
I think it should be featured in the same category as the WWE and World
Heavyweight Championship with both the Triple Crown and Grand Slam.…

Sting vs. Tommy Dreamer

Sting vs.

Sting and Tommy dreamer were the hearts and souls of WCW and ECW, respectively. Sting remained with WCW from the day he arrived to the day the company met its demise. The exact same thing can be said about Tommy Dreamer and ECW. Among the two of them holding world championships from their respective companies, these two superstars made a significant impact in the world of wrestling. Who do you think would win?…

Sting vs. The Rock

Sting vs. The Rock

The Rock has faced many of wrestling’s biggest names of all time. He has faced
names like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, John
Cena, Triple H, and The Undertaker. But there is one name he has yet to face and
that name is Sting. Sting and The Rock spent a majority of their two respective
careers during the Monday Night War (between WWE Raw and WCW Nitro). While
Sting was part of WCW, The Rock was part of the WWE. There were many names that
jumped ship between the two companies during this time, but Sting and The Rock
were two names that never jumped ship. And to this day, these two big names
still remain in two different wrestling companies (The Rock still with WWE and
Sting with TNA). Perhaps these are the reasons why these two big names have
never faced each other one-on-one before. I’m still hoping this match will
happen someday, somehow. Who do you think would win?…

Sting vs. Randy Orton

Sting vs. Randy Orton

Randy Orton used to be called The Legend Killer. He has faced numerous legends
throughout his career. These legends include Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley, Edge, Sgt. Slaughter,
Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Ric Flair, The Undertaker, and Triple H. But
there is one legend that Randy Orton has yet to face and that legend is Sting.
While these two huge names have never been a part of the same wrestling
company, if somehow this match were to happen, it would have the makings of
classic encounter, much like many of the other legends Randy Orton has faced. Who do you think would win?…
